Panera Bread — Restaurant in Paramus

What?! I have never reviewed this fantastic mealtime gem tucked in the back corner of the Paramus Park mall?! Unacceptable! I am not really sure who runs this praiseworthy version of the commonly known chain, but this Panera is my go to spot for at least a year. The service is unfailingly polite, prompt and professional. I am always greeted with a smile when I come in, although you might need to park a little distance from the entrance sometimes because they are really popular. I like the chipotle chicken avocado sandwich and the summer corn chowder soup is amazing, but what really makes my heart and tastebuds sing is the pumpkin soup they sell only in the fall. Smooth, creamy goodness, topped with real pumpkin seeds on top-- it's like mother nature's blessings in a bowl. Treatwise, they have mouthwatering, daily fresh baked pastries with simple ingredients you can pronounce. My favorite is the cinnamon crumb cake that is moist and not too sweet. My newest love is their Madagascar vanilla latte coffee with whipped cream, a liquid dessert really that warms you up on the inside. The prices are a tad on the high side but they do have a rewards program that you can join to earn points toward...

This use to be my favorite Paneras however after today’s experience I will no longer be back to this location and I will also spread the word for others not to visit this location as well. First of all we get there to order and all tables were disgusting, second this location is filled with young workers who don’t wear hair nets yet have hair down their backs. We go up to pick up our food and while heading to sit and eat we noticed a long black hair on the sandwich of one of the guys there who handed us our sandwiches.We were so disgusted and upset my bf went to request a refund because at this point we just wanted to leave to eat somewhere else. The refund should have been given to us right there on the spot for our inconvenience as paying customers. We were told by the manager the refund wouldn’t process until 3-5 business days yet it didn’t take that long for it to come out of my account! Ridiculous!!! A refund should have been given up front for the whole order for the inconvenience they caused us! We will be contacting corporate because everyone should be wearing hairnets when working around food Bottomline!!!! Shame on you Panera in Paramus...

I came here on 10/9/18. I used the express checkout to order the bacom mac and cheese. Apparently it was out of stock on the machine. I went to the cashier instead and she acted like she couldn’t speak. She spoke so low, honestly she should of been making the food instead of taking orders. Another cashier came and i asked about the mac and cheese asking if they had it. Both of them didnt know and they kept whispering. I never officially got an answer because instead of talking volume appropriate again they were whispering and nodding with their heads. After they figured out if they had what i wanted to order come to find out the apple pay wasn’t working. I did not have my card on me and i was on a 15 minute lunch break. The sign on the register said apple pay accept here. Why the he’ll wasnt it working? Why are the cashiers not friendly and scared to talk and take orders?
