The vendors are good but HATE that it closes down Mainstreet EVERY Sunday for SIX months...very inconvenient for driving & parking for the businesses that are blocked because of it. We have been Fika patrons for years but can't find parking near enough for our handicapped friend to actually make it inside during the market. I'm happy that Mainstreet Fika gets a lot of business from the market but it's not worth the headache of finding parking, waiting forever in the huge line for coffee, nor the inability to actually sit down there. We have heard from many locals that they won't go to the Farmers Market or near Mainstreet at all on Sundays. We now go to the Fika in Canterbury (year-round) because it's so much more accessible. The Market should be relocated to one of the HUGE parking lots at O'Brien Park or the PACE Center...or even have only 1 Sunday a month be on Mainstreet and the others in one...
Read moreI wish I could give this market a 5 star review but overall it was just a completely unpleasant experience. Social distancing and mask guidelines were not being enforced which normally isn’t a big deal for me but you have vendors not wearing masks touching and talking over produce. You have at least half of the people there also not wearing masks touching and talking over food in massive crowds. As a minority I also felt extremely uneasy about the attendees. I definitely got some strange looks thrown my way from several individual including some pro Trump people (I even saw a confederate flag..). The market itself is vast and has a good number of fun and interesting stands. It’s really a shame that it operates...
Read moreWOW!!!! I've been living in Parker for a little over a year and a half and this is the first time I've made it to the farmer's market. It is now going to be a regular occurrence for me.
Local produce, local bakeries, local jams, honey, meat and other businesses. I did not bring a big enough bag to put all my goodies in.
Looking forward to next Sunday. I do recommend getting there as early as you can. We got there at a perfect time right around 9:00/9:30. By the time we left around 10:00/10:30 it was pretty packed and some stalls had long lines.
The market runs until the last Sunday in October. This year it ends on the day before Halloween so make sure you wear a costume and many booths...
