Fantastic food and amazing service! I was delighted that they have a combination dish. I love Indian food, but struggle to commit to one item. My dining companion and I shared the combo for 1 and it was plenty food for both, plus leftovers. It was so good that I had the leftovers for breakfast the next morning. The server, Saraj (sp?), I think may also be an owner. Upon arrival, we were quickly greeted and seated. He was very friendly and engaging, and made the visit very pleasant. We had chicken Tikka masala, which was all white meat, with a perfectly spiced (we choose medium), creamy, savory sauce. Some of the best I've ever had. We choose alu Gobi for the veggie dish, and it too was expertly seasoned and perfectly cooked - the potatoes were neither mushy nor undercooked. The veggie pakora was a touch greasy, as fried fritters often are, but the mint and tamarind chutneys were flavorful and perfect for dipping. I also added some raita, which was great on everything. Lastly, the kheer was a perfectly creamy and sweet finish to a tasty meal. It's one week later and I'm craving Spice Kitchen again....
Read moreI've dined here with my senior parents on at least 4-5 occasions. Staff is very pleasant and the food is usually excellent. Today, for lunch, my dad ordered lamb curry and I ordered shrimp vindaloo, however what we received was lamb curry and lamb vindaloo. I never eat lamb, so the young waitress must've misunderstood me or perhaps we were confusing? Nevertheless, she was kind and attentive, so I chose not to complain...I simply did not eat at all, just drank a diet soda, and my dad took the extra food home with him. We'd planned to go nearby for sushi, but came here instead because 3 days ago I received a 15% coupon, however in the subject it said it was only valid on Tuesdays and today was Thursday. So, instead, I left hungry but paid for both dishes plus a 20% tip because I felt badly for the young server and because she was pleasant. My advice, be very clear about what you order and have them repeat it back to you, and check any coupons you receive via email before deciding to dine at Spice Kitchen. Unfortunately, I probably won't be back and next time will stick with our...
Read moreMy family and I stopped in on a whim when Spice Kitchen first opened. The day was sunny and beautiful with light streaming through the huge windows when we walked in. I liked the decor immediately-its modern, tasteful, and with some throwback pieces paying homage to mother India. I had a chance to speak with the owners and their son (it's totally family owned) and was impressed with how cool, humble, and kind they were. Their service was excellent, and even more importantly- the food is made from scratch and bar none the BEST Indian I've had in the USA thus far. I'm a huge fan of Chicken Tikka Masala and a few other more obscure dishes, all of which are made to perfection. My favorite thing though is their naan which is made from scratch (so it takes a bit to get it at your table). I've taken to cooking Indian for my family and we will only buy our naan from here for those nights. So here's a Spice Kitchen hack- their buffet about 10.99, an insane price point for everything you get (fresh naan included). We come here often and won't stop anytime soon... Give it a shot and...
