America Cinemas Pasadena — Attraction in Pasadena

Visit 11/30/24: We went here to see Wicked. I was misinformed that the movie would be in Spanish with English subtitles. Thankfully one of the ladies in our group translated key parts throughout the movie. The cinema used to be called Southmore Cinema. My friends and I would get dropped off on Saturdays and would stay for a double-feature and play games. The theater is still decorated the same as in the 80s. It's a small theater with one concession stand and a few video games. The restrooms have 2 stalls and are small. It would be hard for someone in a wheelchair or who needs assistance to use the restroom. I hadn't been to a movie in about 7 years but my friend said the concession prices were higher than other places. The ticket prices are cheap though. All-in-all it's still an excellent theater experience and I love that there's a theater that caters to a large population in the area who speak Spanish. I just wish they would show...

Most of the employees are teenegers and they have really bad customer service. They are always playing and talking about personal stuff instead of attending the customers. Also i went this sunday and they tell me they cant give me my refil on my drink because they close 30 minutes after the last movie starts, it was only 20 minutes after the last movie start and they was already closed. And when i ask for the managet a little girl said -ok ok lady fine! ill give you your drink!! And she was mad and making me a ugly face. They are really cheap but holliwood cinema are cheap too the only thing that is good here is they have salsa valentina...

The picture quality was awesome.. The sound was superb.. The restrooms were clean and smelled fresh.. The people working there were very nice even tho they looked overworked and tired.. We saw Frozen II in Spanish and my Spanish speakers were very pleased.. The reason for the 3 stars was the floor inside the movie theater was sticky and there was a persistant smell of sewege or something rotten for the first 30 minutes of the movie.. And then the seats were.. (holding vomit) disgusting.. I really wish I would have taken my lawn chair.. I really really didn't want to even touch...
