As far as parks go, its nice. It has a basketball court, restrooms, a play area for kids, a nice little gazebo, and an open field with a backstop in case you want to play baseball, or have a picnic.
The best part of this park is also its worst quality. It is very well hidden. You can go on any given day and you'll probably be alone. If you are having a birthday party, that probably very appealing. If you're walking by yourself, it's probably not.
I have no reason to think this, but i just can't help feeling the park is really sketchy. I think it's because it seems so isolated. I've never had anything bad happen to me, but I can't say I'm 100 percent comfortable being...
Read moreNot too much I can say since it was pretty late in the evening the first time I made a visit -- and the only time, so far -- but Satsuma Park is a pretty good place to take a break if you've been walking around Pasadena for a while, especially on hot summer days. It seems to be a good place for parents to let their small children play over on the playset with the slides and all that, and a basketball court in the park has a roof over it so that can make some good shade for casual games with friends. Read moreThis is a cute little neighborhood park tucked back out of the way. They have a nice walking trail with new bridges, though some of it can flood after rain. They have a nice covered basketball court with a 1 full or 2 short setup. They have a small playground on one side and a large grassy area on the other. The is parking for maybe 15 vehicles or so. I liked it for a quick walk during a local visit and can see lots of ways to utilize it for gatherings and activities, but it could get overrun in a hurry by a particularly large group if the locals are...
