This Goodwill had a lot of nice stuff!!
This was my first time at this particular Goodwill, yet I am very experienced with Goodwill's pricing in general. I am writing this review because the cashier named Alexander was charging me $4.99 for two 6 month old dresses, he claimed this was the price for children's dresses. I informed him that the dresses were infant sized, not children, as Goodwill gives different prices for infants v children's clothes. He figured out how to change the prices on the computer to $1.99 for each of the baby dresses.
He admitted that he did not know the difference between infant and children's sizes, therefore he always prices them as children's clothes. This upset me, how can a man in his late twenties, give or take a few years, not know difference between infant and children's sizes? He says because he doesn't have kids. This is a huge price difference, more than twice the price.
I called after I left to speak with the manager about this issue, of his charging more because he doesn't know the differences in the sizes. The manager was unaware that there was a difference either, she said that she always put children's in the computer instead of infant. So, maybe I'm not the first one this has happened to? Be aware of what you are paying for!!
Also, I bought clothes that were new and still had to brand's hangers on them, meaning that was how they were originally sold at the retail store; these had Carter's hangers. I didn't notice until I was an hour away, but the same cashier took the hangers off the clothes. Why? I don't know, Goodwill doesn't use those hangers, as they belonged to the clothes I just bought, they were new with the hangers. So annoying, all of it. I loved this store, just the cashier and manager...
Read moreThis place is trash and a rip off. They’re charging the same price for clothes you could find at Ross or TJ Maxx!! In addition, there aren’t holes and they are new and don’t smell like someone has worn them at those stores. These people don’t even launder their clothes. They just hang them up then they have the audacity to be upset if somebody shoplifts when they’re overhead is FREE!! They operate through the DONATIONS of OTHERS and then mark things up too high!!! They’re taking advantage of the consumer by making everything really expensive. They will not allow you to try anything on!!!
There’s no point in even going there anymore, especially in a place like Pasadena where everything is so high, we would like a few places to still be inexpensive & feel like a nice reward but that won’t even at a thrift store, will it? It’s too much to ask from them. Meanwhile, the people who are profiting from this company are millionaires, if not...
Read moreOkay, I'm done with Goodwill, but this location especially. Most employees I've encountered have been nice and friendly, but the few that have been rude have usually been the people accepting donations. I'm providing you with merchandise for free that you will sell for a pure profit. Why are you being so rude? I pull up to drop stuff off and some guy comes out before I've even parked, waving his arms with an annoyed look on his face as if I should know I'm not supposed to park... In the parking spot. Outside the donation doors. Where I'm going to donate items at. He seemed appalled, and then another guy looked annoyed too. Like I get it if you're busy, but I was just gonna hop out, drop my stuff in the cages, and leave. The doors were wide open, no one else was there, and the sign was out pointing at the donation area. I don't know what I did wrong but even if somehow I messed up so severely, you could be kinder about...
