I booked them for my baby shower for July 30th. Great communication leading up to the day as well as professional in regards to giving a deposit. Despite them being on time to set up their stuff as well as being very friendly. The tacos were okay. The set up wasn’t like what I saw in the google reviews coming with a table cloth/ nice set up. The scheduled time for them to be there was set up/cooking at 12 and serve from 1-3. They didn’t start serving until about 1:30. I thought okay that’s fine, they would just stay longer since they weren’t ready to serve at the specified time yet. At 2:15 they informed me that they are going to start wrapping things up soon and I need 13 containers for them to put the food in. My fiancé had to leave our baby shower to run to the store in order to buy them containers. My fiancé bought every container available (only 8 containers) without having to run to multiple stores and being gone for long on a special day. They filled up the meats, salsas, limes, etc. and when they ran out of the containers I had given them, they told me they were going to dump it. It would have been nice to know days prior rather than 30 mins right before they were going to leave that I needed to have containers for them. I am currently 9 months pregnant and did eat many tacos that day along with the other 75+ guests I had there. (All ages from 1 years old to 80+ years old). Luckily nobody got sick from their food besides myself. With being pregnant I have a very sensitive stomach. After they left me the rest of the food, they tried handing me shredded cheese in the package and it was all melted/liquified from the heat (I assumed would’ve been put in a cooler so that doesn’t happen). They also served me along with my guests expired tortillas. Expired by 15 days. I was up all of that night sick. Mind you, I understand that tortillas expired by a few days isn’t bad. But being pregnant as well as paying A LOT of money for this taco catering, I would’ve expected them to serve me non expired food/ fresh food. I did check with a lot of my guests that were there that day and did eat the food and nobody got sick and everyone felt fine thankfully… but it does suck for me,...
Read moreI strongly advise against hiring this company unless you’re prepared to deal with unprofessionalism, poor customer service, and misleading pricing practices. A family member previously used this business for an event. While the food was passable, the meat was excessively greasy, and both the rice and beans were served cold due to the company not providing proper food warmers during catering.
Despite the mediocre quality, I decided to consider them for an upcoming event purely out of convenience and my own lack of time to research other vendors. Their reservation process is entirely online, which I followed by submitting multiple requests. However, no one ever contacted me to confirm. I eventually had to follow up myself and was repeatedly connected with an employee named Fernando.
Unfortunately, Fernando — who claims to be a supervisor — was consistently rude and dismissive. Though he speaks in a calm tone, his demeanor is noticeably sarcastic and unprofessional. He gave the impression that he had no interest in helping or resolving any issues. After submitting a reservation well in advance, I was later told the date was unavailable, despite others at the company informing me that it was, in fact, open.
To make matters worse, the pricing listed online does not match what you’re ultimately charged. There are undisclosed fees based on your payment method, and you’re unlikely to receive a detailed receipt unless you specifically request one — and even that may come with an added charge.
I sincerely hope the owner, Sergio, reads this review and considers taking appropriate action to improve the company’s customer service and transparency. In particular, I recommend re-evaluating Fernando’s role in handling client communications, as his approach does not reflect the standards expected from someone in a...
Read moreI would not hire them again. Maybe they were good before but now looks like their standards dropped. The way they work, you e-mail them then the week before your party they call you for a deposit. First to start out, I missed their call, so I tried calling back that same day. Spoke to a very nice man that told me not to worry, he will leave a message that I called and someone will call me tomorrow. Next day no call, so I called again. Talked to the same nice man. He said he would leave another message. I was worried because I was afraid they might cancel me because they haven’t received my deposit. On the third day they finally called and took my deposit. I ask the man if I can change my number from 50 people to 60, and he said yes, just send him an e-mail. I did and he did not respond. The day of the party I asked the person who came how many people was he serving and he said 50. No good. Also I asked for double carne asada because it was for a young crowd and they did not do that. They just added chorizo instead of telling me I couldn’t request double meat and need to choose another meat. I don’t care for chorizo and wasn’t happy. On the reviews I read it shows the onion and cilantro separate, my onion and cilantro were mixed together with more onion than cilantro. Not good. The quesadillas were made with the small tortillas and the cheese looked like it was melted before he got to my house. Not very appealing. I just had a little meat left over looks like they just send exactly or a little less for my 50 guest. I will not hire them and was very...
