MARA! Her treatment towards me was disgusting and also completely unwarranted. She was rude, unprofessional, and after her erratic behavior, she would not give me, or the police, her name when asked. Yes, the police! I ordered a new phone online for pickup. I work close enough to the city of Passaic, that I thought it would be easiest. I get there and inform the ladies behind the counter that I am here for order pick-up. They take my credentials and have me wait. Not long after, who I now know was Mara, handed me my license back, and said verbatim "I can't give you the phone". I asked why, and she just shrugged and walked off. I actually thought she was kidding, but after a minute or so of her helping another customer...I realized she was serious. I asked her again what happened to the order, and she again just ignored me. Realizing this ill-mannered young lady did not want me in the store, I asked her for a number to customer service. She ignored me, but her coworker was nice enough to pass me a Verizon card with the customer service #. I called right then and there, but customer service was closed (they close at 5 or 5:30pm EST). I then asked her for a refund. She then aggressively responded "Where's the receipt?" and held her hand out. I handed her the receipt, she looked at it for maybe 2 seconds, and then again abruptly said "No" and asked me to leave, stating the store was closing. Still not knowing what's happening, I finally gave up and just asked for her name. Guess what she said? "NO". So, she would not give me my order, she would not explain why she wouldn't give me my order, she wouldn't give me a refund (even after being presented with the receipt) and now she won't give me her name. She then went on in Spanish, pointing to me and raising her voice. I don't speak Spanish, and had no idea what the heck was happening, so...I called Passaic PD and explained all this. I just needed the girls name so I could explain all of this to Verizon corporate the following day. PD comes out and tells her to give them her name. Of course, she said NO. Anyway, the police did what they needed to do, and then gave me her name. MARA! Also, I'd like to add that she called her "manager" for help while the police and I stood there waiting. I forget his name, but he came in, walked right by the cops and I, went straight to Mara, whispered something in her ear, and then out of nowhere says to me "What do I have to do to get you out of here, check the cameras?" Dude, yes, please check them! You will see a middle-aged woman innocently waiting, and then standing in complete disbelief while your clueless employee Mara berates me. PS. The police informed me that the owner/manager claims his employees are "protected" which is why Mara was so afraid to give us her name. Mara is young and I wish I could say she has a bright future, but she'll likely be providing Verizon customer service to the Monroe St, Passaic neighborhood, forever. Also, Verizon Corporate and Verizon on 46 in Wayne really got it right for the me the following day!...
Read moreI visited this store on February 5th, 2023. Yasmin helped me with a trade-in. I selected the Samsung Z Fold. Yasmin told me I should buy the S Pen with case because I could use the pen to take pictures and other actions. I took her advice, purchasing a $99 case, only to come home and find out the pen she sold me did NOT have that functionality. (Only the S Pen Pro works with Bluetooth) She also sold me on a free tablet and after I got home, she called me to tell me she had made a mistake and given me the wrong tablet. She said I had up to a week to return it and didn't mention any type of potential fees. The next day I called to notify her both my son and I tested positive for covid and I'd be able to come in to switch the tablet later in the week. She then told me to just keep it because I'd incur a $50 restocking fee since it was over 48 hours. Read moreI chose this location because of the strong reviews I saw on Google. I am not from the area and needed somebody who was interested in following my year-long-delima. I was not disappointed! I had a complex question about my family account, and Aldo, the manager, followed my story with ease. He advocated for me by using my phone to contact the department who could help...and explained my need with clarity. While on the phone, Aldo used a patient voice as he weeded through those not able to assist. Once he identified a Verizon rep who was capable of assisting my complicated issue, he passed the phone over to me. Aldo checked on me during my extended phone call in his store. To my pleasure, my issue was resolved. Aldo continued to support me with my follow up questions. In the end, helped me find a better plan for a lower price. To Verizon: invest in this young man ...
