Keith Family Flooring — Attraction in Payson

Keith Family Flooring replaced all the flooring in my home this summer. It was a nightmare. They dented my brand new refrigerator but denied it. The baseboard that went behind the refrigerator was hidden in the closet after the work was done. I picked one mosaic tile for my shower floor and they installed the one that I told them I definitely did not want. I have three house cats and I asked the guys to keep the bedroom door shut that all three cats were in. When I came home for lunch the first day on the job, only one cat was in that room. They said they didn’t open the door. I went out of town a week later and was gone for a week. The guys knew I had three house cats, I even had a sign on the door to keep the front door shut so my cats didn’t escape. While I was out of town, my cat sitter came over on two separate days and the front door was wide open.

They used Earl Chitwood as a subcontractor, he was to redo my shower, put a new frame around my kitchen window, install bathroom vanities, install light fixtures in bathrooms. We asked him three different times to raise the shower head in my shower so it would be tall enough for my boyfriend to get under. He never did raise the shower. Earl tore out the old shower and put in new drywall that was about an inch off compared to the rest of the wall. It was very sloppy. When he installed the new cabinets in both of my bathrooms he did not align the doors. Considering he used to own his own cabinet company you think he would know to do that. We asked Earl to replace the bathroom lights so he took down the old lights and put the new lights up with old wallpaper and unpainted wall behind the light fixture. I even left a can of paint, a paintbrush, a stir stick and a can opener for him to paint the wall before he put the light up. He did the same thing to the light fixture in my guest bath. Earl redid the frame around my kitchen window and when a piece of molding he used was not long enough he just cut another small piece and glued it on, it looked tacky to say the least. My boyfriend talk to Earl two or three different times regarding the stuff that he did so poorly. Nothing improved.

I got an invoice from Keith Family Flooring emailed to me before the job was even completed. They had not even finished the job. The toe kicks were never installed in the kitchen and both bathrooms. My shower was halfway done and a mess.

The whole time they were working at my house, no one ever came by to see how things were going to oversee the job. Someone said they were so busy that they just were doing way too many jobs at one time. Earl even stated that he was doing 14 jobs at one time.

I mailed them a certified letter with a check minus money due to them for an incomplete job. I left my boyfriends phone number on that letter. They called him a week later and wanted to come make things right, we did not want them back in my home again.

I would never ever recommend Keith Family Flooring or Earl Chitwood to do any kind of work in a home or business. Totally disappointing, in the small town I’m surprised they are still...

I just had 2,000 square feet of vinyl plank put in by Keith family flooring. It looks amazing! I was blown away by their attention to detail. Sheldon and his assistant Stevie whom installed my floors are amazing. I felt very comfortable having them in the house while I was away. Sheldon did not like the stair nose that was ordered so he had some custom made. I thank him for that, the original trim looked good to me but Sheldon pointed out things that I would have not noticed. Sheldon is a perfectionist. On a personal level both Sheldon and Stevie are professional yet friendly, honest and very respectful. I would not hesitate to have them in my home.

Their office personnel as well as the appraiser extremely patient, helpful and understanding. They have such a huge selection that it took me a quite a while to make a choice. They suggest that you take large sample boards home and keep them a while so you are sure of the choice.

It’s never easy to have work done in the house, but Keith Flooring made it easy and did a good job cleaning up after the job was completed.

Since moving to Payson AZ 4 years ago, we have hired Keith Family Flooring for most of our remodeling projects in both our Condo and now our house. They have tiled floors, installed wooden flooring, replaced carpeting and installed tile in a shower. Whenever there is a remodeling project to be done, they are the ones we call. Their prices are very reasonable, when there has been a problem they have been prompt to fix it and they are one of the very few who still believes "the customer is always right".
