Iām not sure if Iām allowed to give a review. I donāt want to be arrested. Iām not going to write the dramatic novel this would be, it would just give you the biggest headache š¤ ever due to the stupidity of it all. I called Sunday night to see if the controlled substance I take was in. I was told yes, but it goes fast. I was at my Dr.ās office at 8am asking her to send it in asap. Her assistant left me a voicemail saying she sent it in, the assistant called and confirmed it was received and was told it was received and that he was working on it, and I didnāt need to worry because it would be ready. I decided to call later that day and I spoke to a male pharmacist and he said āyes, itās right here on the counter and Iām working on it.ā So 2 of us have been told that it was being filled and I would be able to pick it up whenever. So the next day I didnāt go to Payson, Iām in pine, because I had an appointment with my doctor in Pine and I knew I was going to have to get some other meds so I would just get them all at the same time. I did have to go to Payson after my doctor appointment and I walked in to the pharmacy because the system was down and I had to take hard copies. So the girl said it would be a couple of hours but I could get the one that was ready. I took the one that was ready and decided to look at the information page and it wasnāt the right medication I thought I was picking up. So I went back to the pharmacy and said I donāt take this anymore, Iām picking up the controlled substance medication. She said we donāt have anything for you. So told her every one that had confirmed that it was getting ready and would be ready for pick up and showed her the vm from my dr.ās office, and they all said that none of them had had any of those conversations with anyone about that medication. Ummmmmmm, WOW!!! WHAT? Am I in the Twilight Zone right now because more than 1 person spoke to your pharmacy people confirming this was being filled. And now no one knows anything about it? At all? Iām sick of typing this out so Iāll just jump on to the next day when I went back again to pick some of them up. I told her my name, date of birth, and mentioned that controlled substance, and she gave me the meanest look, like I was doing something shady or something. The pharmacist heard her say that to me and said, yes we do. She looked at me again, and I said in my Walt Disney Goofy the dog voice, well itās not like I have a gun over here or anything! Bad, BAD CHOICE OF WORDS. I got my meds and walked away to leave. As Iām walking down the aisle to go out, here comes the Walgreens bouncer. He asked me happened at the pharmacy. Well, I really didnāt know which time he was even talking about because there had been so many ridiculous incompetent moves and things said by them and basically calling me a liar, I really didnāt know. He said, you said you had a gun. I said , I DID NOT SAY THAT! THAT IS NOT WHAT I SAID! The word gun was in there, but not in that context! So NO, THATāS A LIE!!! And then he said he was going to have to ask me to leave š© When I got to my car š, I had a vm from a police officer. I called him back and he even said it was 1 person that had really blown it out of proportion but he had to do his job. So, if I go on any part of their property, Iāll be arrested. The moral of my story is, NEVER SAY YOU DONāT HAVE A GUN LIKE GOOFY THE DOG FROM WALT...
Ā Ā Ā Read more2.9 stars is so overrated, unless maybe none of those reviews experienced the pharmacy. Frankly, I have never had a good experience there, but most times itās just below average, not terribleā¦until 2 nights ago. After being told over the phone that we (me, my wife and 80 year old mother) could walk into Walgreens anytime for a shingles vaccine, we were turned away and told to make an appointment. Annoyed, we left and made appointments for the next day. We showed up 15 minutes early for our appointments and were told they could not honor our appointments and to come back tomorrow. Yeah right! Like Iām driving another 40 miles round trip to most likely be refused service again. Of course Iām now upset and asking what is the point of an appointment? The young lady that helped us was actually nice and obviously embarrassed that what appeared to be the manager kept sending her out to tell us no, no, no while he stared at a monitor doing nothing. He finally came out from hiding and was a total jerk. Then another tech started chiming in, āitās not our fault, call corporate, they are the ones that wonāt hire anyone to help usā. These 2 knuckleheads are the epitome of customer DISSATISFACTION! Actually they are the epitome Customer ELIMINATION. We will never spend a red cent at Payson Walgreens. If you look at my other reviews , they are almost all positive. I like to recognize great service and rarely write negative reviews. When I run into less than great service , I usually chalk it up to an employee just having a bad day. However, I also use other peopleās reviews a lot before choosing a business to deal with. I know if I read this review, I would steer clear of this place. They have a much larger issue than an employee...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMost of the people posting bad reviews have no idea how a pharmacy operates behind the scenes. Its not just handing you your pills, theres so much work involved to keep it running that they struggle to find the time for when patients are coming nonstop, along with keeping up with the high volume of prescriptions this pharmacy is being overloaded with everyday. People have no idea how underpaid and poorly treated the staff is by both corporate and their patients. So yes, they dont always have the biggest smiles on their faces because they are struggling with their health and mental health while trying to help you with yours. I can guarantee that they are working their butts off every single minute to keep up with the demand of a snobby entitled retirement town where 99% of people are on medications. They fill hundreds of new rxs and refills a day and that number is going up as more people move herea and more people become dependent on meds instead of bettering their health naturally. Cut them some slack and be grateful that there are even enough WORKERS here to keep the pharmacy open. They deal with abuse from narcotic addicts and abuse from incoherent ungrateful elderly patients on a daily basis. Some patience, kindness and understanding of the situation goes a LONG way for workers struggling to support the demand of a (not so) small town full of people who dont work as well as a VERY large % of addicts hooked on opiods and controlled substances. I can guarantee theyre doing their best not to rage quit every single day. And if they quit, good luck on getting your medications. So be KIND and PATIENT. You wait patiently at your drs office, pharmacies are an extension of healthcare and deserve that same respect...
