I’m usually coming on google to give great ratings, not the opposite, but this place really disappointed me. I didn’t step in here for the first year we lived here because the sign looked so outdated and old fashioned but the one time I tried it out, I was pleasantly surprised at the cute little gift items they had. I returned to window shop once or twice, then ended up finding some cute kitchen items for a friend’s birthday. They watched me look around for about 25 minutes and when I came up to pay, they turned me away because they won’t let you run a card for less than $50 (the gift items I had were $20). I even offered to pay the credit card fee if that’s what they were worried about, but they refused me and just watched me walk out without buying anything. It was so bizarre. I don’t carry a purse, just a phone with a card holder on the back. No cash. I don’t think I’ve been refused to use a card anywhere in my life except maybe to ride state fair rides. Not even there anymore! AND, they had a card reader obviously, just refused to use it for me because in their opinion my business and small purchase wasn’t worth it, I guess? I think they may want to reconsider carrying small gift items if they are going to make it difficult for people to even buy them. (The attitude of the lady behind the desk I wouldn’t even call friendly, though I will say the first time I went in, the man that must be one of the owners was very friendly and chatty.) Anyway, I was dumbfounded that they watched me walk out empty handed instead of just letting me use a card and even pay a fee if they didn’t want to cover it. What could’ve been an opportunity to draw me back in for larger furniture items in the future (had already been considering it), it rubbed me such the wrong way that I don’t plan on ever returning. I guess that’s why it’s been so empty every time I’ve gone in there!...
Read moreI have purchased many items at Rouds and am very happy that we have such a fine selection of furniture and accessories to fill our decorating needs right here in Payson. Sometimes I just go in and wander around to see what Debbie and Dale, the owners, have found on there latest buying trip. Debbie has such a good eye and the store is full of wonderful and quality pieces from which to choose. Besides the usual couches and bedroom and dining furniture, there are eclectic lighting fixtures and area rugs and beautiful side tables, not to mention the artwork, clocks and wall hangings to complete your decorating needs. Just need a pillow or a throw for the end of a sofa or some interesting flowers and vases to put them in....you will find it there. If you cannot put all this stuff together yourself, their very qualified staff will work with you to get it right. Decorating my home is a passion....can you tell....and I like having a really good store close by when I...
Read moreI’m not one to leave bad reviews but, this is frustrating. This is a great and wonderful place with kind people until you try to order furniture. We were initially old 6-8 weeks turnaround. Once we placed our order we were told 8 weeks so I arranged to have our old couched picked up. I called 2 weeks ago and I was told they were adding finishing touches and getting ready to ship. It has now been 10.5 weeks and I was just told another 1-2 weeks. The only two updates we received was because I called to see what was going on. Any communication would have been greatly appreciated so we could have planned accordingly. Being new to the area with a husband working in a different state while I’m with three small children and no furniture is really unfortunate especially since it could have...
