My kids (12, 11, 7) and I all loved it. Even after reading the reviews, I was like, how cool can a pier really be?
It’s pretty cool, y’all. The energy around the pier is super high, first of all. Live music, restaurants, tons of people. Right before you pay to enter, there’s a little shop, so the kids and I got ice cream and sno-cones to eat while we walked. We paid $5 for the 4 of us (staff was super friendly btw) and just..walked. The busy activity of the beach kind of slowly fades as you go. There are tons of people fishing all along the pier, getting more crowded the farther you walk. Watching them reel in their catches was fun. The views of the gulf and the beaches make for some really pretty pics. Our fav part was the end of the pier, though. We saw multiple dolphins, a shark, a sea turtle, and some really cool looking fish. I didn’t think we’d see anything when we first started walking bc the surf has been a little rough and the water wasn’t the clearest it’s prob ever been, but once we got out there it was fine. Such a simple, fun experience. We’ll def do it again when we come back. I bet sunrises and sunsets...
Read moreIf you want to catch a big fish, go to Okaloosa Island instead. Pensacola pier is not as good for several reasons: it never gets cleaned! It's made out of wood so obviously they can't constantly wash it with water but then they should stop charging $7.50 for an always dirty, filled with trash and dead fish pier. The end of the pier, which is a good spot to catch big fish, filled with local fishermen who just absorb the area with they presences and foshing ovjects to make sure no one takes their spot. They obviously all know each other and get aggressive towards out of state people. They have a "it's our spot, get out of here" attitude. If you fish here, go at night, but then the fish is different. Okaloosa fishing pier charges $8 and it is super clean and they have restroom right at the end of the pier which is really nice!! Okaloosa gets cleaned with water hose every single night and it's made out of metal. For a 1 hour drive (because of 35 mph speed limit) from Pensacola beach you get to friendly and clean Okaloosa! Go...
Read morePensacola Beach is absolutely breathtaking and one of the most beautiful beaches in the U.S.! The sand is so soft and white it looks like sugar, and the emerald-green water is crystal clear and inviting. Whether you’re swimming, paddleboarding, or just relaxing with your toes in the sand, it feels like paradise.
What makes it even better is the atmosphere. It’s lively yet laid-back, with friendly locals, family-friendly vibes, and plenty of great spots to eat fresh seafood right by the water. The boardwalk is full of energy, but you can also find quieter stretches of beach to simply unwind and soak up the sunshine.
The sunsets here are truly magical, watching the sky light up in pinks and oranges over the Gulf is worth the trip alone. Between the natural beauty, the welcoming feel, and the endless things to do, Pensacola Beach is a place you’ll want to come back to again and again.
If you’re looking for the perfect mix of relaxation and fun, this beach is second...
