The good, the bad and the beautiful. The restaurant was beautiful and had beach access for when you are done or before eating. The atmosphere was spot on and it was a very scenic place to eat lunch or dinner. I came here for lunch. The waitress was very friendly and she gave excellent service. The menu was pretty small, which I wasn't a fan of. There was not a lot of seafood options or options in general. The options they did have were pricey (for seafood and non seafood). Expect to spend about $22 on a sandwhich and $18 on a cocktail. I ordered the fish sandwhich with tartar and fries. The sandwhich itself was good. The fried were excellent and the portions were a good size. I had a craving for a fried fish sandwhich, but surprisingly the only options were grilled or blackened. Despite that, it was good and I would definitely get it again. I wanted to get a cocktail, but at $18, I figured I would go to another beach bar to get it. I ended up just getting a soda, which the waitress kept filled. All in all, if money is no issue and you don't need a lot of menu options, if you mainly just want a good vibe and good food, this is the place for you. I enjoyed my lunch here and I probably would come back for the vibe alone. Great place for a date and then a walk along the beach. I didn't see any dessert options. This place missed the mark on 5 stars just due to the lack of menu choices, drink choices and being slightly overpriced. I gave it a 4 because it was definitely above a 3(the fries were spot on and the sandwhich was decent in size and taste) and I felt a 3 would be unfair, but I also believe a 4 is a bit generous....

The Salty Rose Beach Bar and Grill in Pensacola Beach offered a mixed bag on our visit. Here's the breakdown:
Prime Location: After a long drive and a crowded post-Blue Angels scene, The Salty Rose's convenience was a lifesaver. Located right by the Holiday Inn Express and offering open-air beachside seating, it was the perfect spot to unwind.
Live Entertainment: Bonus points for the live music and the entertaining fire dancer show on the beach! It added a fun atmosphere to the evening.
Service with a Smile: The service was great, especially considering it wasn't very busy for a Saturday night.
Food: A Mixed Plate:
Burger Disappointment: The advertised "smash burger" was a miss. It wasn't what we expected and the patty itself raised some questions. Would not recommend.Caesar Wrap Success: The Caesar wrap, on the other hand, was a winner.Drinks: The beer wasn't very cold, which seemed to be a common theme in Pensacola Beach. However, my mixed drink from the menu was delicious!
Overall: The Salty Rose gets a 3.5-star rating. The location and entertainment are great, the service is friendly, and the drinks are good. However, the food was inconsistent, with the burger falling short. If you're looking for a fun and lively atmosphere with a beautiful beach view, The Salty Rose is worth a visit. Just manage your expectations on the food,...
Read moreWe got medium type service (the server seemed new) - the food was acceptable. Would have gone back again ( we are locals) but the end was unacceptable ( the server did not have anything to do with that). The ticket was confusing at best. Did not clearly list the food/drinks on the ticket and couldn’t explain a random charge (that wasn’t listed on the ticket - 1+2 did not equal 3 it equaled 4) without multiply trips to the mgr for an explanation . We felt we were being taken advantage of - $20.25 for a drink that held only 4 oz. (Not a shooter - not in a special glass - including the mixer.) I know things are more expensive at the beach but this was ridiculous. This was out last night at the beach and the only time we felt we didn’t get our money’s worth. On top of that ( not the restaurant’s fault) very rude large table next to us that felt we were suppose to kiss their butts because they were bigger ( way bigger) and it’s a beach bar you know so anything is alright. Even rude, obnoxious behavior. Cause it’s...
