It is never safe for me to enter a Craft Store alone! I went in for specific items and left spending way more than I had intended. This could be a bad thing, but if you can control yourself, head in and shop away! The Halloween stuff is starting to come out (my weakness) and, here's where my self control finally took over. I bought some beautiful and fun looking 'potion' bottles for decoration, and plan on going back to get some other things as they get more out. When I finally dragged myself out of my weakness zone, I found what I was looking for and then some. I was looking for some sealer types to cover wood plaques. Found some very different selections and got some ideas for our projects. Everything was pretty well labeled on where it is and where to find what was needed. Granted I had to go to different aisles, but that is not their fault as everything was very specific to where it was. I just happened to find that I could actually use a variety of items from different crafting genres for what we are doing. So mixing and matching is the name of the game and I definitely won this time. We used a wood weathering stain and over that some satin sealer spray. And it all turned out beautiful! It looks like they are pushing self-checkout, which is fine, but there should be assistance available when needed. I posted “need assistance” on the screen and after a few moments, an employee named Brooke walked over looking annoyed and asked what I needed.
I explained that I was there for an online order pickup. She told me the shelf at the front door would have it. I let her know the item was too large to fit there, and she said she would be back. Once again, she seemed annoyed that I needed help. When she returned, she handed me the organizing drawers without saying anything or offering a thank you.
I even asked if she needed anything from me, and she simply said “no.” The entire interaction felt dismissive and unprofessional. It’s disappointing to see customer service handled this way. With service like this, I honestly wish I had just...
Read moreMichael's has a lot. But they have been advertising they bought Jo Anns fabrics and they were enlarging there sewing and fabrics area. We'll I waited a month or more to go check it out. They had no fabrics except precut fat quarters. We got to the check out and they need a phone number or an email to check out. I figure its so they can sell your information. I asked the lady at the register can we skip it and just check out? I don't need more junk mail. She said no you have to give 1 or the other to check out. I don't like that. I haven't been in a Michael's in several years. The fabrics was definitely a pull. The girl also said maybe around Christmas.
