The mall is a shell with Penny's as their main Anchor. The retail mix is a joke and the food court is dirty and very disappointing to say the least! In the next 5 years will it be still there, only time will tell so it's wait and see! It is amazing to me that they are renting space to new tenets at make me an offer and if we like it we will accept! I assume flat rent without triple net and month to month. In business you can fill vacant space if you give it away a far cry when Simon Properties owned the center isn't it. Grand Prairie did the same thing as businesses failed with high rent and Cam charges. It is amazing there is a sliding scale for tents if you are tied into a leave with Cam and overages you are out of luck while your neighbor is paying a fraction of what you are paying. This Business Model fails everyou get time! Malls are Dinosaurs simple as that. Then include the safety factory in the Mall and on the way to your car especially at night. Limited Mall hours and you get the picture. Reality has set in regarding commercial rental space in Peoria,no more triple net leases. When you rent a home in Peoria the renter never ever pays the real estate taxes, insurance, snow removal, etc. Why should a renter pay in a commercial space,Never More. Flat Rent if the Landlord does not like it tough,it's today Baby there is more vacant space in Peoria then ever before everywhere but Westlake. Renters stand tough you are in the Driver's Seat and don't you think it's about time people the party is over so tell the Landlord how much you are willing to pay and for how long on your terms enjoy your new freedom you...
Read moreAn awful lot of people complain that this mall isn't what it used to be. Well what mall is? This place still has a good selection of mall staples like Zumiez, Spencer, Hot Topic, etc. This mall is doing just fine considering the climate of shopping malls in America. There's people of all ages in there, of all backgrounds. It's really lovely to see. It'd be nice to see another anchor or two, but again, manage your expectations for a mall in [current year.] Biggest complaint is the lack of bathrooms. If you find yourself needing to have yourself an emergency tinkle, you better start running towards the food court or JC Penney. Because depending where you're at in the mall, it might take a bit before you get to one of their only 2 bathroom locations, and hope there's not a line.
The mall is pretty accessible. Especially if you're coming east into town from 74.
And the Chinese food place? Do yourself a favor and get some of their bourbon chicken. If the food court isn't your thing, there's a variety of restaurants in the...

They have Annie's pretzels wich are yummy but cost an arm and a leg and a great coffe shop or possibly 2? Oh yea They have a build a bear as well.. Also have the food court and even the very expensive round 1 amusements place for the kids and adults(They serve alcohol) Lots of other stores there that I can't remember really. Its worth going and shopping there tho for sure. I've heard many people complain that the mall is dirty or dangerous because of the crime problem that plagues Peoria but I have no problem with none of that. I shop there and will...
