Valley King Properties — Attraction in Peoria

The woman who was supposed to help my girlfriend and I, just was about money and nothing more, we were charged $24.00 and got nothing in turn but the loss of $24.00, she asked us where we wanted to live(what areas/radius), and she gave us some bs, and she said she would start looking for us, and also told us we would have to pay them again after she would find us a place to live, she called my girlfriend and told her that she found an apartment, but it was not even near the area we both told her we wanted to live and she told us the cost per month and it was way way way more than what we told her we wanted to pay, and the apartment was only a 1 bedroom on the second floor, when we told her we wanted a 2 bedroom on the first floor, the woman called about 5 to 6 times on apartments that were not in the area we wanted(even though we told the woman every time on what my girlfriend and I were looking for), the apartments that the woman would tell us about were way too expensive, the size(amount of bedrooms and square footage)was a 1 bedroom apartment and once the woman called to tell us about a large studio apartment on the second floor, all of the units she would call us about were all on the second floor, the woman working there totally proved that she was in this all for the money and nothing more, my girlfriend and I noticed that the woman was the same way with another person, it seems like the woman that works there is only truly about helping people with a lot of money and not the average working people, my girlfriend and I did find a very larger 2 bedroom on the first floor on our own, and they were running a special on the place we moved into, we moved in for much cheaper searching on our own than if we would have used this company, Valley King used to be a great company and great staff, but I am not sure what happened and why they are such a waste of money, you are better off looking on your own than going through a company that will cost you money instead of...

We used VKP 3 Yrs ago due to our past credit history with prior relationships. We stayed for almost 3 Yrs, until more recent by outs & decline of the property management and Management Chaos. The past management by-out left residents sitting and watching the property being taken over by homeless staying in jn the abandoned apartments, fights, shootings and theft, including our own vehicle being stolen. We had no management to turn to if there was an issue and we were did not know who to pay rent to for the month of July and August. One Friday around the third week of August demanding payment from all residents and asking residents if they had active leases, ourselves being a month to month agreement where we paid extra fee of $100, we were at that time we were being evicted for no payment for the 2 months even though we had money orders to pay. We advised this manager that we had the funds in a money order form and we just did not know who to pay. She stated no we were being evicted at this time due to traffic, and she was not going to accept any payment. So we went thru the court process and now have an eviction on our records. Unfair as it is, VKP had nothing to do with this new Property Management and could not be of NY assistance to us. For 2 years we had a perfect rent history. This property management comes in and we are told they will be remodeling and making changes so their first priority is to get residents out, dispute given all 3 of us residents of this apartment bad credit marks as well as a disabled friend who has a TBI and can not live alone and needs a care giver to live with her for the remainder of her life.

Thank You New Property Manager, mean person who goes around yelling at residents and making threats. I would suggest VKP drop Bethany West apartments as a suggested residential home for VKP...

My personal experience is DONT do business with Valley Kings the sketchy building kinda shows you what to expect. When I first saw the building I turned around cuz I figured this company was full of fluff and wouldn’t help. Against my better judgement I went with them. Met with a lady name Debbie. Now Debbie herself was a very sweet lady, but very unorganized and didn’t really listen to anything I said or wanted or even the areas I told her I didn’t mind living in she decided she would just pick out an area she felt was best for me. Which wasn’t a very safe area she thought she was doing me a favor by picking a apartment that was closer to my job. She only gave me one option in my price range “ according to her my price was set too low and needed to at least be willing to be 1000 for a 2bd 2b. So I say sure why not let’s having a look at it, which ended up being a total waste and truthfully was in a sh*tty area. The outside of the apartment looked nice and of course the unit they show you is never the quite like the unit you’ll live in. After pretty much be pushed into running a credit check I said sure why the hell not one again thinking maybe she realize I have decent credit and can find something safer and better! Got approved, and Debbie pretty much left and was alright my work here is done 😒😑 and pretty much knew I wasn’t gonna move in. Debbie called me a few days later to remind me I got approved and to sign me lease. At the point I should’ve told her I wasn’t gonna move into the unit she provided but I didn’t. I instead used my own expertise to find a 2 bd 2 b w/ a w/d for less then the measly over priced unit she was tryna walk me into. Truthfully if you have any skills with google use them. Trust me I’m saving you $15 and a headache...
