D&Y Chinese Food — Restaurant in Glendale

My husband and I decided we would give this place a try, so we walked in and order our food to go. With the amount of time we waited for our food, may I add only 1 table for 3 dining in. The food was not pleasant at all. The egg rolls were bland and I honestly thought they were spring rolls, the fried shrimp was not cooked on the inside, nicely crisp on the outside but the inside dough was raw. The beef lomein was so and so, i would rather eat the noodles and not the meat for the simple fact the beef left a distinctive after taste each bite. The crab puffs, nothing in it, just cream cheese that was overloaded with sugar to make them awfully sweet. Beef on a stick, kind of dried out beef jerky. The only thing that was somewhat decent, was their "orange chicken". Ive never had orange chicken with broccoli in it but then again i took one chunk of chicken, not diced and ate it. I believe they used white meat which isnt a problem but last I've known orange chicken to be diced meat and not half dollar sized chunks, at the point I was done being disappointed. Updating review. This time it was just ok. Def not as good as our last visit. I agree with other reviews that the fried rice is just white rice with something brown sort of mixed in. I must have gotten lucky with the rice on my prior visit. The lady at the counter is still always very nice and kind.

Today was my first time at this restaurant as we are new to the area. I will definitely be going back! It's the best chinese restaurant I've eaten at since moving here.
