My wife and I shop here almost weekly. During her visit today, the security guard and several other staff members followed her around the store and watched her as she browsed through the aisles. When she reached the register, one of the employees stood closely over her. It made for a very uncomfortable, intimidating experience and she left a bit shaken up. Previously, there has been instances of employees suddenly needing to straighten something or stock a shelf right next to us that is already full and neat but we would simply laugh about it to ourselves and move on. Read moreI guess I must have hit a bad day there. Tomatoes were slop, soft and mushy. Prices were definitely higher then the other Aldi stores on basic things..bread, syrup etc. The prices here were similar to the Cherry Hill Nj. store, the Sewell store definitely has lower prices. When you are doing a lot of food shopping those 50 and 75 cent differences on every item add up. The one freezer case was empty and when i went to get a box of ice cream sandwiches there was one left sitting there which was open. There is competition there, grocery outlet, shoprite etc. Aldi needs to step up their game here if they want this...
Read moreThis Aldi is still somewhat on point. The prices are very reasonable like they were when they 1st opened. It's more self checkout than it is with cashiers. I don't like the fact that the cashier has to work his station, and the self checkout from his draw if something goes wrong with their machine. Other than that, I usually get what I come for no matter what time of day I go, and it's still clean. The meat section always looks like someone ran across the street and bought a few packs from the Shoprite, repackaged it with Aldi packaging...
