F.E.A.S.T. Private Chef/Catering/Event Dining Service — Attraction in Philadelphia

My husband and I hired Chef Jay in January to provide a private dinner in our home for 9 couples. We wanted to provide our guests with a restaurant-style experience and we could not have been more thrilled by what Chef Jay put together for us. From the first phone calls discussing the menu options and planning the event, all the way to the clean-up at the end of the night, he was one of the most pleasant, professional and thoughtful people I've ever worked with. We chose to go with his Spanish-style tapas menu, served family style, 7 different courses. Every single course was truly delicious. Everything was great, but the lamb meatballs, bacon wrapped dates, steak, and garlic prawns were exceptional. Absolutely restaurant quality food. The crew of guests that we had for dinner are folks who are accustomed to fine dining and people were blown away. Folks kept migrating to the kitchen while he was preparing the meal and I was worried he would get distracted, but he patiently fielded all their questions and the wait staff that he brought along to help were equally pleasant and professional to deal with. The ladies helped me with my last minute rush of setting up for the party and did a beautiful job clearing and serving throughout the dinner. I cannot recommend Jay highly enough for your next event. Wow!! It has taken me weeks to write this review because I wanted to make sure I had time to convey my heart. Chef Jay is my hero... seriously! He helped me provide one of the best gifts ever for my best friend to help celebrate her 50th birthday. We've been friends since 4th grade, so I know her pretty well and know it is hard to impress her with food because she herself is an outstanding cook. So hiring a personal Chef was a risk for me, but I was trying to do something that would force her to sit back for a change. Finding a chef was so hard considering I am a 2 hour plane ride away and know nothing much about the resources in her area. I searched online only to be disappointed by the lack of response to those I reached out to. But then God lead me to Chef Jay. First impression was great and the menu he came up with was much more than I even imagined. So the big day came and my best friend couldn't make it past the first course before calling me with the excitement of a kid on Christmas morning. OMG, WHERE DO I BEGIN!!! Let me first say that I had the absolute pleasure of having Chef Jay's service GIFTED to me by my bestie. (Backstory: it is HARD to impress me because not only am I a "foodie" but I am a former caterer). Onto the here and now: Not only did Chef Jay IMPRESS me, but he literally BLEW ME AWAY with six course of a culinary EXPLOSION of FLAVOR!!!
