As this review is a little long, let me start with the conclusion: I could not be happier and highly recommend Painting Pups! After having made countless mistakes in hiring contractors/companies to perform work on my home, I have become both skeptical and cautious to hire anyone. My home is nearly 35 years old and was in need of not only exterior staining/painting but also repair & replacement of many of the board & batten vertical cedar shingles which had rotted or become damaged over the years along with all of the doors, trim and windows. I wanted my home to look truly ‘refreshed’ and relatively new. I contacted more than half a dozen painters/painting companies to come out and take a look at what was needed and provide a quote. Although, Painting Pups was not the least expensive, I ultimately selected Painting Pups based on their reviews and professionalism and am very happy to say that, I cannot imagine a better choice. Heather came to the house to discuss what I wanted done and went into all the details. She had numerous suggestions which were indicative of her experience. She suggested painting the heavily faded aluminum trim on the windows which I did not realize was possible. I asked if Painting Pups had the experience to replace/repair my cedar panels which required expertise above and beyond painting and Heather assured me they had crews who were very experienced. It took me a couple of weeks to decide to move forward but once I did, we agreed on a date to begin the work. On the first day of the engagement, Heather along with a crew of ~ six people headed by Jose showed up at 7:30am to begin. Heather, Jose and I walked around the house and reviewed what we agreed on to do. At the end of the walkthrough, I emphasized that, I wanted the house to look ‘new’ and Jose took over from there. Over the next couple of days, I watched as Jose and his crew started preparing the house to be painted. The team systematically & meticulously checked each and every cedar plank and either replaced or repaired them along with driving in nails, patching minor imperfections and sanding to prepare all the surfaces for painting. In addition, Ken, a co-owner would stop by to ensure everything was moving forward and all of the materials needed were available. It is hard for me to describe how great an experience it was to interact with and watch Jose and his team transform my home into exactly what I was looking for. Jose is a perfectionist in every aspect and would not cut corners even though, it took extra days to get it done right. Two of my neighbors have already stopped by to ask who did the work and want to hire Painting Pups. I know this review sounds over the top positive but, it is justified and well-deserved. I highly recommend Painting Pups!!

Updating this review as we recently had work done on our bathrooms and one of our bedrooms. What can I say….this is our third experience with Groovy Hues and the work and the team have been nothing short of exceptional! We are just so pleased with all the work Matt, Michelle and their team have done on our home and are thankful to have found a company that has principal. We are really happy with the work and the ability to communicate when issues happen without it being a negative experience. You can’t put a dollar value on that 😃 Living in Vegas for the past 35 years you learn the nuances of living in the desert and what it takes to keep your house in order inside and out. We recently moved out to Pennsylvania and have lived here for about 2 years. In that time we noticed some neighbors having someone come out and wash their exterior of their house. I’ve never seen that done except for when you paint your house in there Southwest to get the dirt out of the crevices of the stucco. Upon further looking at our house, we couldn't believe how dirty with spots of algae (?)/ moss was growing on the roof and the sides of the house. Last year we attempted to do the cleaning ourselves to save some money. I do have a pressure washer with attachments to add chemicals/soap. Needless to say, we did do the exterior of the house but was kinda disappointed with the results and took us a majority of our weekend. Can a person do their own exterior of their house with the roof? Sure…. you can, but be prepared to put in the hard work and hopefully you won’t be as disappointed like I was when doing it yourself. Michelle from Groovy Hues contacted us because we had some painting done only to find out that they pressure wash the exterior and do the roofs. Michelle came out and set us up with a day for their guy to come out and wash our house and roof. Elvin came out to our house, was on time, professional and started immediately. It was only him so it took probably a little longer than if there were two guys working, but he had all the right equipment on his truck and he completed our house in a relatively short amount of time. He did such a great job on our house that our neighbor came over and wanted to know if he would do his. So once he was finished with ours, off he went to our neighbors. Elvin did a great job and there was a noticeable difference. It was clean and smelled clean also. Great job Groovy Hues and great job Elvin! Greg Watnem Warrington, Pa

From the first interaction, Rathgeb Painting has been great to work with. Michelle has been excellent as our point of contact for getting estimates. She's friendly, professional, and responsive. She produces final estimates on-the-spot, which is fantastic and speeds up the process to get your project done. She's the only contractor I've ever dealt with who was able to immediately produce insurance and licenses without hesitation. That's how it should be, but it's almost always like pulling teeth to get contractors to send you proof of their legitimacy. Not with Rathgeb! Michelle also worked wonders to get our project done quickly before the weather got cold, which was a life-saver for our urgent project. I found the estimates to be reasonable based on comparison to others I've received in recent years. Since they're licensed and insured, you may pay a little more than some other contractors, but it's worth it because you're investing in peace of mind that you project will be done well and on time. The quality of the work the crew did was excellent. Mario was our crew leader — his crew was friendly and did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves and didn't leave a mess during or after the project was complete. Our building's front doors and a window on our historic building were in absolutely terrible condition after years or possibly decades of neglect. After the painting was done, they look so good that it's almost hard to remember how bad they used to be. When painting is done right, you almost forget it's there because it just look the way it's supposed to. That's how Rathgeb does it! I'm going to use them for future projects and I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Dear curious customer, you’ll likely have been doom scrolling the bad reviews trying to convince yourself out of a good decision. You’ve likely been researching your rear end off for the best service that can accommodate your unique aesthetic and not set fire to your wallet.

I’m here to tell you that analysis paralysis affects us all. It’s the gift that keeps giving. But now, at this exact moment, you can throw away anxiety because I’m going to be completely honest with you. Groovy Hues is the best professional choice! Let me preface by saying, that I know how to dress a plate, I know how to dress a bed, and after 26 long years, I know how to dress myself. But I knew next to nothing about painting a room or multiple rooms. I just had a few ideas and was doing my best to understand weird foreign words like “accent wall”.

So like you, I needed professional help because I didn’t have the time or manpower. I thought it was going to be time-consuming. I thought it was going to be difficult. I thought it was going to be expensive… that one for sure. I can say with confidence. From beginning to end, communication was spot on. The most difficult thing was criticism from my family and friends about my color choices. Shame on them. But you don’t care about my family or strangers. That’s not what you’re here for, you care about how many zeros. Well, I’ won’t be giving you that information because I don’t kiss and tell. It was reasonably priced, about the cost of Lot Lemon with low mileage. For those with vivid imaginations and who grew up in thick-skinned neighborhoods. It’s not too rich for your blood, trust me

All in all, if you can push past family criticism and plan to succeed, not fail. You will have something luxurious to brag about, wake up to, and relax in fully appreciating the scenery you made for yourself.

So, dear, curious customer, I believe you’re in good hands. Trust yourself :)

P.S. Don't forget to take before and after pictures!!! You will hate yourself if you don't

A special thanks to Michelle for her expertise in coordinating my project. I was briefed before every decision and always included in the loop. Although she probably won’t admit it, I believe I did give her a couple of headaches. Thank you!

A special thanks to Jackie for being a firm believer in my color choices. Also, educating me on what an accent wall is and being the guiding hand with the color selection process. You may think you know what you want, but a woman’s intuition is best.

And finally, a special thanks to Mynor and his crew. I met them briefly quite literally. They do a very fast efficient and effective job. They even asked me questions and pointed out ideas I hadn’t thought of that helped enhance the look I wanted. I’m only sorry I didn’t get to buy them coffee and shake their hands personally one last time....
