New to Philly with a larger apartment, I began scouting vintage and antique furniture stores before I moved. I found UrbanBurb on Instagram and saw that they posted on their stories often with features pieces currently available. There was a cabinet/chest that caught my eye, and after measuring where I'd like to put it, I inquired about their pick up policy. They answered my Instagram inquiry within 24 hours and clarified that I could purchase and pick up on different days.
I came by that Friday, and after inspecting the piece, I decided to get it. I paid and they gave me a "sold" tag to put on the piece, and told me I could come back Sunday to pick it up. They just asked me to call ahead to give them a heads up before I dropped by.
On Sunday, I called and swung by within the hour. I came in to find the chest wrapped and waiting for me, with the glass and shelves wrapped in cushioned packing and ready for transport. They even have a pick up spot reserved right out front for most days so parking is easy, but Sunday they loose their spot and someone had parked there illegally. The man at the counter helped my fiancé carry the chest out to our car a few spots down, and mentioned that they'd love to see how it looked once it found it's home in our apartment.
I couldn't have been happier with the experience, and look forward to visiting again often to see what treasures...
Read morethe person i spoke to for consignment was rude and I do not recommend this place, gave no feedback upon sending pictures over email, was curt and said we can't help, upon calling again was curt, impatient and basically said my stuff is on the lower end which is perfectly ok but then proceeded to say they would have maybe accepted some of the items just to be kind implying that they'd be doing me a favor - this activity benefits them and me not just me if I understand correctly, i don't think this is the right attitude to engage with a person who wants to use the consignment service. it is the delivery / how I was enagaged with is what I have a problem with and again the way I was spoken to left a bad first impression for me and do not see myself using their services again when let's say i do have high end furniture I am...

I bought a coffee table, dining room table, and lamp from the store. They have a lot of classic, retro, and eclectic pieces. They carry Pendleton brand stuff, art work, and their own wood/resin creations. I highly recommend stopping in for a...
