This past Saturday, my friend and I had the pleasure of joining the Beyond the Italian Market tour with Tiny Table Tours, and it just so happened to coincide with the vibrant Italian Market Festival. The combination made for an unforgettable experience!

Our guide, Jackie, was exceptional. Her deep knowledge of South Philadelphia's culinary scene and rich history brought each stop to life. She shared captivating stories about the neighborhood's evolution and the families behind the establishments we visited, adding a personal touch that made the tour truly special.

The food was, of course, a highlight. We indulged in a variety of delicious bites, from a savory banh mi at a family-owned spot to mouthwatering tacos accompanied by refreshing beverages. Sweet treats from a century-old bakery and a delightful glass of wine at the end rounded out our culinary journey. Each tasting was thoughtfully selected, offering a perfect balance of flavors and portions.

The tour also provided insights into Philadelphia's unique public art culture and the hidden gems of the Italian Market. Jackie's engaging storytelling and the festive atmosphere of the Italian Market Festival created a lively and immersive experience.

If you're looking to explore the heart of South Philly through its food and stories, I highly recommend Tiny Table Tours. It's a delightful way to connect with the city's culture...

I recently treated my son to a Tiny Table Tour in his hometown of Philly as a Christmas gift, and it turned out to be a fantastic decision! We booked the Beyond the Italian Market tour, and our guide Maddy, was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable about the history of the Italian Market, the city’s vibrant food scene, and the stories behind the local eateries we visited. It felt like we were walking through history while sampling some of the most delicious food Philly has to offer.

We stopped at several spots that were new to both of us, and the food was incredible. The pace of the tour was perfect, and Maddy was engaging and friendly throughout. She made sure we were comfortable (we booked the coldest day of December), so well-fed, and entertained the entire time.

If you’re looking for a unique way to experience Philadelphia — whether you’re a local or a visitor — I highly recommend Tiny Table Tours. It’s a great gift, a fun way to spend time with family and friends, and an experience that will leave you craving more of Philly’s rich culinary offerings! Worth every...

I cannot speak highly enough of Tiny Table Tours. Philly residents, this special experience will open your eyes to fresh gems worth frequenting. For visitors trying to get a taste of the city, your taste buds are in for a treat, too. What sets Tiny Table Tours apart is the storytelling, the passion, and the intimacy. You will leave attuned to nuances in food, architecture, and culture that can surface only when one is called to look and listen more closely. Maddy’s attention to detail, depth of knowledge, and care for the human beings sustaining communities in Philadelphia are unparalleled. We spent the day laughing, tasting, reminiscing, wandering, and feeling the history written in the storefronts and side streets. It’s a peek behind the curtain that’s curated for people who love to learn and love to eat. Epic way to spend a Saturday. Book it and...

Had such a great time on my tour this weekend. Danny was a great guide who was friendly, fun and very informative. Lots of good history on the chefs/owners, food, neighborhoods and more. This would be a great tour to do when you have out of town visitors but I also really enjoyed it as a local. All of the food was delicious, not a single complaint about any of it. I now have new spots I need to go back to plus they give you a cheat sheet of all kinds of Philly favorites to try! Thanks for a great tour!

This tour was fantastic!!!! Me and my boyfriend are both from the Philly area but the history of the neighborhood that we learned from our tour guide Maddy was really informative ! Maddy made this tour personalized and her stories about her relationships/interviews with shop owners/ chefs/etc gave us a deeper understanding of the Philly restaurant scene and the inter-workings of such a historic neighborhood. I wish I could give this tour a 10/10 on here, thank you again Maddy!!!
