Ukrainian American Citizens' Association (Ukie Club on Franklin) — Attraction in Philadelphia

Went to a Rock & Roll show there. They advertised $15 to get in and I was charged $17. Their drinks selection is sad, but what's even worse is the lighting and sound. They do not have a proper sound technician; homie doesn't know what he's doing. To top it off, an acoustic/low-energy Monica performer played for a WHOLE hour after two high-energy bands on a weeknight. I almost fell asleep during the Monica set. The other performers played 30 minute sets but the acoustic set was an hour long. Moreover, that acoustic lady pocketed all the money and none of the other bands were paid a cent. Nice little place! I attended the outdoor Spooky Ukie Market this past Saturday and it was a good time. The inside downstairs is cool and has a decently priced bar. What I really appreciated were the single bathrooms in the back bar. Good bathrooms are key! Street parking worried me pulling up but I was surprised that the street leading up to the venue had plenty of space available. I'm gonna save that one star here because of the downstairs bathrooms not really having locks on the stalls and the questionable availability of street parking....

Wonderful asset to the community with all the different organizations using the big beautiful land they have around the building. Multiple Historical buildings. One with a great hall for rent at a decent rate & VFW prices alchohol! Cant be beat! Great as a little hang out bar also!
