Liberty North — Local services in Philadelphia

Be wary of renting this hall. New manager not from the church or this area and doesn't truly care about the community. About $$$. Not professional & completely ignored me & dismissive when needed to discuss issues that occurred at sweet 16 event. Contract terms are extreme, ac didn't work - was 84 degrees IN the hall in August! & wouldn't let us touch thermostat, accused of stealing liquor when bartender sold a bottle to guest for $20, sexist - "rather talk man-to-man" with my man instead of deal with me who was the one who had the contract, took $200 for the "situation" when I shouldve been the one notified as the one under contract & it's very shady to take $200 or accuse anyone of stealing when the bartender sold the bottle to the guest (aka the "situation") & shouldve been reprimanded, upcharge for everything, served liquor to minors at a sweet 16 party. Dont think they even have right to sell liquor there at a cash bar. A mother of a guest is up in arms about her daughter drinking to the point that she's questioning me and another guest had an asthma attack because of the heat and I'm the one having to deal with it because they wont respond to my calls or texts. Complete embarrassment & truly disgusted with how I was treated. Today went to talk to the manager, Chef Smiley, and was escorted from the premises with my daughter, cousin & her baby, by huge body guards from a "free community event" just because I wanted to talk to him. Literally did NOTHING threatening but ask to talk about the event that I've been calling about the last month and hes only there Tuesdays and Saturdays. Completely disgusted & disappointed by how this "community" resource is being run. If you need a hall in the neighborhood, the Ukranian Hall on Franklin St are soooo much better to...

Searching for a venue is a taunting task. I searched online, I visited many places and was about to give up. I was told about Liberty North from a family member who lives down the street. She never attended a function at the location, however seen the banner on the outside stating they have a banquet hall. I sent an email and the response was very quick. While speaking with the Events Manger, I felt at ease with her professional replies. I knew at this point I would be willing to rent the facility based off of her attention to detail. I meet with the owner and felt the same professionalism. When entering the day of my event; the Event Manger and Owner was on site to answer any questions or concerns. My family loved the venue and possibly will be renting for their own functions.
