I came across VIP Fashion on a private Quinceañera Facebook Group. VIP Fashion has by far the largest quince dress selection and multiple designers within a 4 hour drive from RI. I chose to take a mini road trip because my daughter was not being wowed by the ones she had tried on in the New England area. I called VIP Fashion prior to traveling there to inquire if I needed an appointment, when they said no I thought perfect…. Let’s go! We arrived on a Friday 2/25 and we were greeted by the owner Ana who was very helpful and kind enough to let us to take our time and try on as many dresses as it took to find the ONE! No other boutique has worked that way, everything was by appointment and you had 1.5 hours tops. We spent several hours trying on dresses and my daughter could not decide. So we left but decided to return the following day and give it another shot, after all we were 8 hours away round trip. Although the experience started off as a great one. We were not rushed and my daughter finally fell in love with a dress that happened to be available in store, in the color and size she wanted. We were happy to be able to purchase it and take it with us the same day!! The reason for not giving VIP 5 stars is due to a couple of things: the owner had told us that for her long distance travelers she did something special and gifted the birthday girl and I quote “ the tiara, jewelry (necklace and earrings) and shoes just because we were traveling long distance. She said it’s a $250 value, just as a thank you for choosing to travel to them”. The second day Saturday we were working with a different young lady by the name of Edith( super sweet and great customer service). When I told her we made a decision and I was taking the dress but that Ana had offered these gifts because we were long distance travelers, she was surprised. She said” it’s 1 gift and you have to choose tiara or jewelry “. I did not want to argue.. I was just ready to be heading home. Final and most important reason for not given the 5 stars.. is the price discrepancy. On the stores website the dress we purchased was $1365 before tax and when I went to cash out the cashier said the dress was $1500 before tax, total $1620 after tax($255 difference). When I questioned why the price was less online, Edith said” I apologize with Covid the dress is more now but we have not gotten around to updating our website “. Again I was not going to argue. I was exhausted and just wanted it to be over and done with it. I believe that a good business owner would have honored the online price since it was an oversight on their end. So basically in my opinion ( the gift, which we chose the tiara) we ultimately ended up paying for it! P. S. Covid is delaying everything but when you have the dress in stock and available with no alterations needed, inflating the price last minute is just a poor way of doing business. I ordered this beautiful Jovani dress for my baby shower and Bam COVID happened in March. I called and called about my dress no answer. Then in August I receive a call saying my dress is ready with the alterations. What a joke! My baby was already 3 months old at the time. According to the Owner I should have came into the parking lot of Philadelphia Mills at 7 months pregnant to pick up my dress from the alley. ( During a Pandemic , very smart ??) or search their Social Media pages to track down this dress. Mind you I am heavily pregnant AND still working as a Nurse in the Hospital as a frontline worker. At least contact me and even though my baby shower was cancelled I could have worn it and taken pictures for my maternity shoot. Then the owner says her Daughter's wedding was cancelled too. Ma'am a wedding dress can always be worn. Women don't have Baby Showers every day its very time sensitive . She didn't have any compassion or care. Then the owner goes even further and insults me saying I could still fit in the dress now( trying to Body Shame Me) mind you I'm back to my pre- pregnancy weight and the dress I ordered was a size 18 ( to accommodate my baby belly at the time). They hit me with a $200+ balance for alterations for a baby shower dress that was ready in August and was purchased for ($700). Lets be Fair. These scammers are RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL and have ZERO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Please save your time and $$$$$ and go to a store like Camille La Vie or elsewhere . Read moreThey lost my wedding dress! bought my dress January 5th off the rack because I was already cutting close due to being married may this year, they told me it would be dry cleaned in house 2 weeks max and it had some stuff on it so I agreed to leave it, they never called me…I call after 3 weeks get told they can’t seem to figure out about my dress and that they’ll call back, a week goes by they leave a voice mail saying it’s ready I call back after a week to confirm they again have a hard time figuring out if it is in fact ready finally they confirm I tell them I’ll pick it up in about a week they tell me that’s fine… I go pick it up about two Fridays ago I wait over an hour and I see someone looking through the racks of dresses I bought from but no one else in the store finally after an hour the lady tells me they are having a hard time finding it and that’s what the lady looking through the racks was looking for.. stunned I say okay I can’t wait and they tell me they’ll call when they find it. Next day no call I go back SAME THING then they tell me this always happens… and after an hour they tell me they have good news my dress is simply at another store and will be there Monday, I ask which store bc I need alterations done tomorrow then I’m told it’s at the ware house by the manager I call at KOP who then hangs up on me.
