My mom and I went in for a consult in Jan for a Co2 facial laser treatment I saw on groupon for $599. During the consult I explained to Shea that I was concerned with the dark sunspots I was starting to get my face and my mom was concerned about deep lines and wrinkles.After getting photos taken Shea explained the laser treatment and that is was $2500 I showed him the groupon and he had told us that the groupon only covered one area of the face. I was disappointed because when I called to schedule the appointment I was not told that. We declined because we were not wanting just one area and it was a lot more than we had expected to spend. He then went on to explain how much of a big difference it’ll make for the problem areas we mentioned. He even pulled out the before and after photo booklet and of a woman who he said had a facelift done and told my mom that her face would look as smooth as the woman in the photo with the Co2 laser. After being promised such good results we ended up purchasing the treatment $1500 each with 1 free treatment after 6months. After my face healed I called Shea because I noticed my skin had what seemed like scarring near my chin/lower cheek area that was not there before and my sunspots will still there. He told me that the results take up to six months and to give it time. When I went for my 6mo follow up consult I explained that I had couple of friends I might refer depending on the results after my second treatment. He then said “They can do the same $599 groupon you did, you did the Groupon right? I replied, “For the full face?” And he said “Yes for the full face we are still offering the $599 groupon”. I was speechless as he then began going over the results of my after photos that looked exactly the same as my before photos recommending another $2k treatment to remove the sunspots.I told him that he told me the Co2 laser would remove the sunspots and he said no it doesn’t you need a different type of laser. My daughter was with me and I fought to hold back my tears, on my way out Felicia stopped me to schedule the appointment for my second treatment. I told her I couldn’t even think straight and she started mentioning days and I just picked one as I didn’t want to start crying in the front lobby.When I got home I called to speak to Felicia and explained what happened during my follow up consult. She put me on hold for like 5 minutes got back on the phone and ADMITTED THEY MADE NO PROFIT ON THE GROUPON so was allowing Shea to position the $599 as only covering a portion of the face as a CREATIVE SALES TACTIC TO UPSELL. I told Felicia that I had been in sales for 17 years and that is not a sales tactic but a blatant lie telling me that the groupon price only covered an area of the face. Felicia is married to the doctor and I told her I couldn’t believe she was allowing her business to be conducted that way. I told her both my mother and I wanted a refund. She told me that we were not going to receive a refund and mentioned my moms concerns and treatment information (VIOLATING HIPAA COMPLIANCE) and told me that she would have to call in herself and that My after photo results showed improvements in below surface sun damage. I told her the way she spoke to me and how she was handling business when they were admittingly at fault I would not even feel comfortable going in for another treatment at this point and would look into legal counsel if not resolved. She said “Well I’m going to look into the contract YOU signed and will get back to you” and hung up. For the past 2 months she has intentionally avoided my calls. I have also left several voicemails with no returned call forcing us to to take legal action to get our money back....

STOP!! Do not go to this practice nor Dr. Farhan Taghizadeh aka (Dr. T) I wish this practice had more negative reviews when I had my procedure done, I wouldn't have done it with this doctor. As mentioned this place is a total scam and misleading in many ways.

Dr. Taghizadeh shouldn't be allowed to perform Septoplasty nor Rhinoplasty and his license should be reconsidered by the state board. Long story short, he made my nose and my breathing worse than before. I had deviated septum internally, but my nose was straight. After this procedure, my nose is now deviated internally and externally. Very noticable. Very bad experience and the doctor neglected my worries and concerns and always blamed it on my anatomy as it was like this originally, which is not true because in my before photos my nose was straight. My CAT scans are also a proof that he messed up big time. After going back and forth with many complications I was having, not knowing what photos he these photos were dated for, he started examining (my after photos thinking they were my before photos) he basically admitted and pointed out at surgery flaws and everything he was supposed to do (did not do). Later, when I told him these were my after pics and you just proved my point, he was in disbelief and blamed it on the staff, he got passive aggressive and demanded the staff to get him my before photos. As of today he no longer works at IMS, I hope it's because of my complaint to their corporate office. I'm posting this review here because I came to this practice to get a consultation. Which the business manager gave me the consultation and it didn't feel right. The person who worked for Dr. T had a background in SALES and no medical background! Which is a red flag! He was very salesy, unprofessional and unethical.
