Absolutely the worst medical office I have ever used in 40 years. The nurse Gloria has no ability to remember minor details such as your name let alone relay information for a prescription refill. After over two weeks waiting for my prescription refill for meds I have used for the last 3 years. I called and spoke with her 3 times. She could never remember me, not even 15 minutes later. Numerous repeated trips to pharmacy required calls to office to correct the prescription. I was told I needed to make an appointment but could get my insulin and related meds. 7 days later, several requests to speak with a supervisor went unanswered, 4 requests and a voicemail to Office Mgr went unanswered. Finally a 5th request and refusal to speak with supervisor and I was able to get a call from Office Mgr, Ashley who claims she never received any requests. Credibility issues here. She promises to get it all corrected. Again, no such luck! Again Call to supervisor Kari, who promises to call me RIGHT BACK. knowing this is a probably a lie I gave her the chance to do so. 25 minutes later I had to call back and never speak to her or anyone in any position of responsibility. I did get to leave a voicemail for Ashley but if history repeats I will not hear from her. I overheard the office telling the pharmacy incorrect information about my prescription and also claiming they cant read my records. This office has NO concern for accuracy in your medical records, prescribing your medicines accurately or patient concerns as evidence by the repeated false claims a supervisor or office manager will return your call or that an assistant will correct prescription errors. This is the type of medical office which will kill you with their inability to properly record your medical information, prescribe medicines or promptly address your medical concerns.

At this point so many inept people have been in my records i believe a HIPPA violation has occurred, a concern Ashley refused to even address in our one conversation. I certainly have concerns over the accuracy of my records at this point. I have asked for a patient advocate and that has also been ignored.

The absolute worst medical office on all levels and I am only brushing the surface. And this was for meds I have been taking for 3 years. What would happen if it was new? EGADS!! Still trying to get a correct refill. It has been almost 3o days since the initial request and 10 days of almost...

Banner health might be the most difficult healthcare facility I've ever been to....and I have been to several. Most hospitals and clinics I've ever been to have been good or great. Are there some cons like waiting time/scheduling? Sure. But they've never given me the run around like banner health.

I called to ask about potential copay payment for an upcoming appt. Since my recent new pt appt appt with a sport medicine doc costs $300 (not including x ray and there was no associating cpt code with it), I figure that I should call the office for my new internal care doc to see how much the copay would be. I kept getting transferred, and the lady that picked up the phone was confused why I was transferred to her. She asked if I tried contacting the doctor's office, and I told her I called the main number that was under the doctor's name on the banner website. Lady said this happens all the time and she doesn't understand why billing or other dept would keep sending patients her way when she doesn't have the answer. She tried asking if I called my insurance, in which case I said yes, but I've never been charged so high for a new pt appt before and it's through my workplace, which I've been with for a few yrs. I understand high prices for x ray or mri (especially mri), but new pt appt? That was new for me. And if that's the new pricing, then okay, I can accept that. But I could not get in touch with any front desk or billing people who can even discuss with me about it.

I tried messaging the doctor's office through the portal and no one answers for days on end. Now I know that banner health got in trouble for a lawsuit back in 2018 or so for fraudulent behavior, and this is easy to search by google. I used to work for hospitals, and I don't think I've ever had such a hard time talking to someone over the phone before. I even asked if I can be transferred to the doctor's front desk office extension and she couldn't even do that. If phone calls and messages don't go through, how do patients get in touch with the hospital for any kind of questions, particularly billing.

Pro: the sport medicine doc that saw me initially was thorough and so were the x-ray/mri staff. But wow. Does the rest of the admin workaround leave something...

Recently moved here from Washington State. After moving I saw that I'd missed an e-mail received from my previous healthcare provider. They said I needed to review a message from my doctor. I checked and was informed that my lab results were irregular from my last visit there and that I needed to schedule a follow-up visit to go over the results. Since I wasn't living there any longer, I asked a neighbor and she said Banner was close by. My wife called the scheduling department and explained the situation and that I also needed to establish a new Primary Care doctor. They got me in within a few days at their Desert Ridge location. I'd done some research and found out that Banner was the largest healthcare provider in Arizona. Oh No! With that I was a bit apprehensive that I'd be going to a mega-busy over-crowded place. That was the furthest from reality. This office felt like being back in small town USA compared to what I was used to in Washington. Easy to park up close and easy to navigate where to go. I was impressed with every aspect of my visit. Front office was prompt to greet and got me in to the exam room quickly. The doctor was prompt to see me and had already reviewed my records.

I've been back to this location to their lab and that was also super quick and easy. When my lab results came back they got me in promptly again to discuss the results and the treatment plan for a newly found medical problem.

Changing healtcare providers can be stressful. I'm very grateful for the healthcare experiences I had a Banner's Desert Ridge. This last time I came home I said to my wife that felt very fortunate that she found them for me. I can easily recommend Banner Desert Ridge if you're looking for a new...
