Roach found in my food! Yes you read that correctly. Sushi on Tatum has always been my go to for sushi. Tonight I went with my dad, and boyfriend. We normally eat off the conveyor bar, but this time I wanted to order off the menu. I ordered the Tso’s chicken. Which came with broccoli and white rice. My dad stuck with the sushi while my boyfriend got the sesame chicken. It was amazing!! I was loving my chicken when I went to grab another bite I looked at my sauce only to see a roach in it. I was shocked. I stared for a minute making sure I was seeing this correctly as I come here ALL the time!!! I’m not sure if this roach was chillin with my broccoli, or was bathing in the sauce of my chicken. I did not make a scene. I put the roach on a separate bowl walked over to the back and showed all employees the roach. I was expecting them to question me asking where it was found. All I got was silence. Everyone looked at me like it had happened before. I was confused. In the end I do not blame my server, rather management, and the cooks. This really opened my eyes to how nasty the kitchen truly is. Sushi Station is one of the few conveyor belt sushi places near Desert Ridge and it is a very good place! I like to eat near the conveyor, but we tip normally to be fair. Service is good and friendly! The conveyor has EVERYTHING! Specialized drinks, seaweed salad, edamame, fruit salads, mochi desserts and normal desserts like carrot cake, cheesecake and cream puffs! With all this food, there is no room for teppanyaki (the Japanese grills). Plenty to eat without the grills. Many options are at Sushi Station. You can sit at a normal table and be by the conveyor. However, why not see all the food passing in front of you like some wonderful sushi dream! There is a menu for cooked food like terayaki chicken. The prices are very reasonable and easy to determine. Each plate has a color, and there is a price based on the color. The place is covered with photos of customers with their pile of plates. Only a few things you won't find here - anything fancy or expensive. No fancy wine list, no fancy fish, no fancy furniture. Come to create your own pile of plates.
