I recommend the Norterra location.
This one is highly disapointing. The first red flag was that it smelled like sewage when I walked it. It actually wasn’t seeming to come from the restroom either, so thats nice.. Also when I got here about quarter to five on a Saturday they MAYBE had like four tables in the whole building, felt empty really. I asked for the other menu twice and the hostess said she’d bring it to me but never did. I had to wait to ask my server. Second red flag was having to ask for the menu three times.. It also took a suprisingly long amount of time just to get water, in fact I didn’t get it until about 10-15 minutes after I got my menu. I had the urge to leave before I even ordered - and I wish I had! I’ve been to the Norterra location and it is always incredible. Here, I got the same appetizer I always get, and oh my. First red flag before I even took a bite was that it had two random pieces of other food on the plate that didnt belong. What seemed like the manager dropped it off to my table and as I poked at the food that did not belong, he said “it’s just brocolli, sorry” as if to say, you’re right that shouldn’t be there, but that’s normal here. There was also a random carrot... this was in the cauliflower appetizer. It’s a big red flag that food goes out with random bits of things that do not belong on the plate, and they just leave it. The plate also had tons of grease and oil, yet I’ve never seen it like that out of all the times I’ve gotten it at the other location. When I actually took a bite, it was pretty awful to be honest. It was mainly hard, like undercooked, and just bad. I ate most of it because it took forever for my food to come out. When my food came out it didnt even have all of the ingredients that the menu says come on it; it did not have the avocado or the pesto! Thats’s big! PLUS, it had pickles, which I asked to take away when I ordered. I was so dissatisfied by this point that I told to not even remake it, I’d pay for the appetizer and I just wanted to leave, so I can go eat somewhere else. My experience was really disapointing. It took an hour and I didn’g even eat!! If you ever feel the urge to leave a place before you even order, just trust yourself. That is this place! If you want to try this menu, but actually done right, go to the...
Read moreJust a take out order review… Ordered no mushrooms, it has mushrooms *clearly someone tried to hand pick them out after realizing, still had mushrooms in it. To me, un-eatable Ready in 10 minutes, took 28 minutes Upon entry, was never greeted Asked for assistance from the manager, was dismissed and he said someone will be here to help shortly A few minutes later, no one. The entire staff was avoiding eye contact, I waved, nada After a few more minutes I approached 3 employees and asked for assistance. Was again dismissed. Very annoyed by my question for assistance, all three employees rolled their eyes and said give them a few minutes. 10 minutes to get someone to say hi, the manager on shift, what appeared to be a kitchen manager or food runner, and two servers gave me the same impression - You’re not my problem, just wait.
The bartender who brought me my food seemed pleasant, she’s the only one that smiled, acknowledged me, and seemed to care about their job and the customer expeirence .
Main issue here isn’t the mushrooms in my order when it specified no mushrooms. My issues is your staff, the service, the lack of care for customers that aren’t in their section, a dismissive manager that was annoyed I asked for assistance. Quite possibly my worst Pita Jungle experience in 20 years. Normally I wouldn’t share this, but you all rubbed me the wrong way so bad I will not go back to this location. Your staffs attitude and lack of care is the reason I will drive an additional 15 minutes to go to a different location. Pita Jungle is among my favorite restaurants to frequent (20+ times a year) - I will take my business to a deserving location. I can not shake the gross feeling you all left me with. You all seemed upset you...
Read moreI stop in here every couple months when I'm in town from Wisconsin. Pita Jungle in general is one of my favorites. This particular experience was a dine in by myself. There's something about the service for solo diners that seems to lack at so many places and this is no exception. I was seated by a gentleman, my order was taken by Maria, my appetizer and entree was delivered by someone else. The only other interaction with Maria was her bringing my bill. Nobody checked on me while dining but thankfully the food was delicious as usual and I needed nothing else. This Pita Jungle is 10 min from my home but I may just try another location for dine in next time. Update: I'm back in town and took my sister to lunch, we were served by Vivienne and our service was excellent. We enjoyed our chicken Shawarma, cilantro beans and new potatoes. We even ordered some to go. That was on a Wednesday. The following Monday our cousin ordered take out for us. She ordered 4 Shawarma, a couple sides, 3 large tzatziki and 6 Xtra pitas. There was NO tahini on any Shawarma, ONE tzatziki, both sides and the Xtra pitas. The tahini is the crown jewel of the Shawarma and there is hardly use for 10 pita and 1 tzatziki. My cousin called, we got "food credits" Today, Friday, the same week I stop for lunch. Jose is my server and he is superb. My tzatziki comes quick and my chicken combo platter is to die for. I LOVE this place as you can see. I will head back to the Midwest tomorrow satisfied with my latest Pita Jungle meal. Thank you to the management for taking care of us to insure our repeat business. I'll be back...
