Good selections, however, we were completely lied to about the prices and basically everything. Come to find out that the prices they give in their pitch, are based off the assumption that you get approved for financing through their bigger clients like Wells Fargo. Once we got to the financing part of the process, all of the prices and information changed. The couch we selected came in two pieces. One was I believe $799 and the other was $999 I believe. We chose to pay for one of them in full and finance the other one. Somehow the $999 couch that we chose to finance came out to $4,000. We had chose to put a dining table set on the order initially when we were told that we were approved for $1900. We were told that the couch was $1100 and we had an extra $800 to use, which is why we chose to get a table. However all the numbers skyrocketed just by adding the table and nothing was matching up with what we were told. So we chose to take the table off and just do the couches because we were gonna be paying $360 a month. Which is outrageous. Once we did that, the manager and sales person got all bent out of shape and you could see it on their faces that they were annoyed at the fact that we took off the table. I felt so bad for the financial expert that we were working with because the sales lady fed us all this bullshit information and then sent us on our way to the finance girl who had to give us the truth and she got the short end of the stick. They were annoyed with her for what? Doing her job? Like Iâm sorry you lied to us and she told us the truth but honestly they were lucky that we even continued with the process and still bought the couches. Honestly, if we hadnât already paid for the one outright, we probably would have just walked out. I mean everything was a lie. Down to the delivery date. We were told that if they had something in stock, then we would get it in 2-3 days. The couch we chose, was in stock. Then all of a sudden once we started with the process, it turned into âoh it will be delivered next week.â And then she came up with some BS excuse as to why. We found out that this is just what they do. They feed people false information and then when the finance people have to give them the real numbers, it ends up like this. Like apparently, people back out more often than not for this exact reason. I love the couches that we bought but Iâm so disappointed with the whole experience and canât believe how much we were lied to. Even after asking questions to verify the information she was giving us, it was still complete BS. I will not ever be buying furniture from Bobâs Discount...
Read moreI will never buy furniture from a Bobâs store ever again as the experience has been awful.
The store and employees at this location are great, but the company as a whole is awful. We purchased 2 full bedroom sets from this location 2 years ago and weâre told theyâd be delivered in 2-3 months.
The first set took 4 months to arrive, no big deal. The crew assembled it and everything was pristine.
The next set took 10 months to arrive. 10 months with the only communication being a weekly email that consistently pushed back the expected delivery date with no explanation and an estimated arrival date that was clearly way off. This is where it gets worse though.
Everything that arrived for this set was damaged. 2 nightstands that didnât close properly because the drawers were cracked and both had clear water damage and entire chunks missing. A dresser with a broken leg and chipped drawers. A bed frame that water damage, chips, gauges, you name it it had it. The first claim we placed Bobâs denied and would not replace any of it. Frustrated, we tried again and requested a technician come out and view it. The technician was fantastic and immediately agreed the damage was unnecessary and needed to be replaced, but the bed frame didnât qualify.
These replacements then took 2-3 months to arrive. The ones that arrived were better, but all of them had damage as well with the exception of the dresser. So now we have ~3k in brand new, broken furniture where it was easier to just accept the broken pieces than to try and hassle with their claims team and not have furniture for another 2-3 months.
Now fast forward a year. The bed frame cracks where the rails meet the leg and headboard. Reminder, same bed frame that had all of the water damage, chips, gauges, etc. We purchased Goof Proof with the sets so figured this would be covered since it clearly fits the descriptions of whatâs covered. Our claim was denied.
I am beyond frustrated to have spent over 5k on furniture with this company and having little to no customer service or warranty claims being accepted. Whatâs the point of Goof Proof if they donât even honor any of your claims and you have to try multiple times in order to even get anyoneâs attention? I will never do business with Bobâs again and highly recommend you avoid them if looking for new furniture, unless of course youâre okay with an usable bed frame or broken dressers and...
Read moreDo not waste your money on the warranty or believe a word the sales team has to say. I purchased a beautiful couch for almost $4,000. The only reason I purchased this specific couch, which is a down feather couch by the way, was because Pam (salesperson) stated that the warranty (which I paid a few hundred extra for) would cover and REPLACE any damaged parts that fall under what the warranty covers. That is in fact not true. Well, I filed a claim and the third party warranty company sent a tech out to clean the damaged part of my couch. Not replace it. The couch is still damaged and they sent a tech out to do what anyone who knows how to clean, to do. So why would I even purchase the warranty to begin with if itâs useless? Because I was misled on how it actually works. I was told that as long as my claim is approved and falls under the terms of warranty (which mine did) then that part of the couch will just be replaced. After speaking with the store manager of the Tatum location, I now know that Bobâs takes no responsibility whatsoever when it comes to the warranty company and canât/wonât really do anything further to assist. I would have to file a second claim and IF that was approved by the warranty company and IF the next tech that comes out and agrees it should be replaced, then they would send me a voucher to get it replaced but who knows if it would actually cover the cost or not. A tech who works for the warranty company is going to try to do everything to avoid escalating the problem and creating more cost for the company. My issue is the false claims that this location of Bobs allowed its salesperson to provide. If you sell a warranty, you should know and understand that warranty and not be shady with it just to make the sale. Consumers need transparency. Will not be returning to this company again unfortunately and will be contacting the AG department for a...
