I went here with my boyfriend and his friend who was in town. Nice vibe inside. Service was terrible. I only gave two stars because of our third server who ended up taking care of us. We started the night out by a male server taking our order and bringing our drinks. Then he proceeded to stay behind the bar and not address us for the rest of the night (until we were ready to leave). Logistics of this place does not make sense. I counted 4 servers behind the bar and 1 female server on the floor (which fairly stayed consistent through the night). How is that efficient? Questionable logistics by the manager. The female server was awkwardly walking around the vicinity taking orders. She took a drink order of ours (just wine, not a cocktail) and we waited over 20 min for it to come. No drink, while the neighboring table with 4 females were getting serviced repeatedly. My boyfriend's friend went to the bar to complain and one of the server stated he would find out what happened. Close to 10 min go by and he proceeded to ignore our question about the drink that never came. I had enough and finally went to the bar and spoke with another bartender. She first stated it was probably taking while because it was a cocktail. It got her attention when I told her it was just a glass of wine and she can just bring us our check. She took care of us for the rest of the night which we appreciated. However, this place is not worth the hassle and the service was horrible. Save yourself the time and go to...
Read moreThis place was nothing short of remarkable. Very nice atmosphere and decor and a nice speakeasy touch without it being too difficult. If you've never been and using GPS, put in The Whining Pig. Then when you arrive you should be able to go from there to find this place inside. It was filling up pretty quickly and there are no reservations so you'll want to take that into consideration as a waiting list was starting to build. There is bar seating and parties of 4 or more can choose a booth. There is a standing waiting section for those who are on the wait list and the bartender told me you can still be served drinks in the standing table section while you await seats (there's like an elevated counter there where you could place your drinks). The music was good when I went. It was a mixed bag of popular music. The cocktails were good. I'd recommend the "Perfect night in Paris" if you like the sweet variety. I ordered the 3rd floor smoke nachos which were good and I'd recommend. Awesome find....
Read moreI had to try this place out after people constantly telling me about it. We spent most of our time in the “speak easy” section. I say that with quotes because its really easy to find, no hidden door gimmick like most of them, just walk down a hallway. The menu seemed pretty interesting, we got the mystery punch because I looove when places do that. I was expecting some half backed concoction, but it was actually really good. Also the spinach dip is life changingly good… like I want to buy a gallon of it! My one “complaint” is that the bartenders aren’t really all that friendly… they just kinda demanded our order and then placed some stuff in front of us. No smiles or exchange of names. I get it, the place was busy, but they kinda just looked miserable. But the security and upstairs staff were super nice! They were probably the only people that said a full...
