This park is quiet for most part disappointed in the way the staff treats the homeless community though they don't allow them to sit long enuff to breathe I came to the park because my daughter is out there homeless and I would bring lunch for a good amount of people I'd bring sheets n set them under a large shade tree let the ones that were hungry come and rest from the hot sun if nothing more just grab a sandwich and go then I started noticing that I was being watched them I was being followed in n out of the park so I approached these people n whatcha know I'm being investigated for being on the park with homeless persons I was under the impression anyone could come sit n enjoy the company of friends,am I mistaken? I must be cuz when I asked wat was their problem some stated that the homeless were loitering well as far as my memory serves me the sign says "PUBLIC" PARK" not" area residents that rent or own a home" in the area only! Then I was told their not allowed to enjoy a day in the park because it's considered urban camping wen talking about or to the homeless people! Are u serious? I literally stayed from sun up to sun set and not once was I asked to leave because I was urban camping or hanging around to long .I came in bus one morning and stepped off bike path to ask CV someone if they'd seen my daughter and told this person that I had some breakfast n lunch with me if he seen her let her know where I was I had quiet alot of stuff with me in bookbags n totebags I bent over to pick something up and the gentlemen said cops mama as I stood up here come three bicycle cops off the bridge straight for us we were told not to move CV the guys were told to sit down and shut up I was asked for my id I informed the officer that I'd just got off the bus five minutes ago and the officer I came to find out standing behind the men was the Sargent said I was lying wen the guys started to stick up for me the said shut up for I kick u in the ribs I slowly turned and all I said was I wish you would. The officer running my id said he couldn't find me in his system and that I was to leave the area now and go home I told him I would not without my friends. these homeless are just people like you and I some choose to be out here, some simply have lost their way and some are just trying to find their way they deserve nothing less then the same respect as you or I do. Maybe if you would sit down and talk with them n encourage them give them your time maybe you'd learn their story . They deserve love and...

Read moreOpen fields, near the canal/bike path and ball field, has small playground, public restroom.
However, we saw no less that 4 homeless/vagrant in the immediate vacinity. One of the playground slides was haphazardly 'blocked' off with yellow caution tape due to damage/unsafe condition. Considering the expansive fields, and proximity to an elementary school and multiple neighborhoods, sadly neglected...
