The Big Project. Mortimer BiglowThe Big Project. Mortimer Biglow
After a scary experience at another location and surprisingly prompt follow up communication from a district manager I went to this location last night per his recommendation. It was an interesting and telling experience. Went on the late side again, 10pm, and saw employees working hard and doing their best to kindly deal with a small woman who was behaving oddly and likely on drugs. They did their best to get her to go order and communicate with her as her behavior became increasingly irrational. After she left I spoke with a manager who ended up being the rep I had spoken to, and was impressed he was going to various locations to check in on stuff. It’s an extra challenging economic climate right now and not easy to maintain a 24 hour restaurant! Want to give kudos to the efforts being made to rectify stuff and move forward. And shout out to Mr. Kyle and proactive and warm new employee Cash. She has a fantastic attitude and is a great asset to the organization, happy to return any time she is on deck!

The waffle house experience. Let me start this by saying at the time of this review it has been atleast 5 years sence i have been to a waffle house. This is because i live in San Diego. And now im finally here, stuffed and happy. Now i know your thinking "You drove 5 hours for waffle house?" Yes. Yes i did. The reason why i drove 5 hours to get my two waffles, just a bit extera cooked, and my hash browns smothered, covered, and diced is because of a memory. If your first time coming here was after a great day with family. Then a night out with friends and you come in here at 2am? Ya. Comfort food. Its locked in. But if your first time here is at 5 pm after siting in rush hour traffic for a hour? No no. You will feel like you ate a brick. So, set yourself up for a happy memory, the world has enough bad. Happy birthday to me! 🎂

Worst waffle house meal ever. Everything, and I mean everything was undercooked. I had the grand slam breakfast. I ordered my eggs over medium, I received them with the whites running. The hash browns hardly had any brown to them, soft and mushy. My toast had zero brown on them. As well as the pancakes and bacon being undercooked. They had a few people in the bout booths, so it's not like they were slammed. I was going to return the whole meal and ask for a refund, but thought maybe I was being overly critical. I barely took 2 bites of everything, got up and paid my bill. Not one employee questioned why I left so much food.

I’d give ZERO stars if I could. My granddaughter and I went to breakfast and sat at the counter to eat. The reach in fridge was right in front of us and the “cook” kept opening it up to get bacon. The bacon was just sitting inside the fridge in a messy pile, not wrapped or protected. It was a mess! Some was hanging out and every time he tried to close it, it wouldnt close because of the disgusting bacon hanging out! He had to push it really hard to close it. We sat there watching him and I timed it as the fridge stayed open one time for almost 5 min. I brought it to attention of the waitress, Jude, who has been there for years and has waited on me and my family. She apologized and I asked her who the manager was and I was astonished when she told me the man “cooking” was the manager!!!! She leaned over to him (Andrew) and explained that I was concerned about the reach in fridge and the disgusting bacon and he shrugged his shoulders, looked at the bacon in the fridge and the bacon hanging out of the fridge and said “I don’t see anything wrong with that”. The look on Jude’s face was also a look of surprise and even she couldn’t believe that’s what he said. My family and I have been going to this location for 25 years and I’m sad to say we won’t be going back. The lack of sanitary concern for the food being served to customers and the disrespect to the waitress and me and my granddaughter as customers was inexcusable. We were sitting front and center and it was hard to miss and he didn’t care. The waitress (Jude) kept apologizing. I wasn’t looking for something to complain about and am sad that this happened….. but again….. it was hard to miss. Thumbs...

While I served in the military I used to eat breakfast at waffle houses in Kentucky/Tennessee area and unfortunately I don’t know if the menu has changed or what happened but I asked for a cheese and ham omelette with bacon and to my surprise omelettes are supposed to be rolled thinned and taken care of my omelette was a disaster it looked like someone threw up eggs ham and bacon I was so heavily disappointed with the quality of food the cleanliness and lack of care this particular Waffle House was… grouting was discussing hand prints on the refrigerator doors no cleanliness at all… our veteran forefathers who owned this business and started it would be terribly ashamed to even call this a Waffle House… the only reason they got two stars was the waitress was on top of her stations although it wasn’t clean enough to the standards I was used to she did try to do her best… but I will never return to this location or any in Arizona unfortunately it was also a nightmare of an experience for my wife it was her first time...

I’m a regular at this Waffle House, I have loved coming here for years up until now. The manager is named Asia. She definitely hasn’t been there that long.

I literally watched her look around with the register open and take a wad of cash and put it in her pocket. I’ve been a manager before, i know how payouts and all that stuff works. She was most definitely not doing that. She flat out STOLE from the register. how do i know? Because after she pocketed the money, she went to the back and after some time, she came out accusing some servers of stealing from the register. The servers were visibly upset and hurt trying to defend themselves. Anytime I come in when Asia is on shift, everyone looks miserable and like they hate their job. Any other time when she’s out, the employees are in a good mood.

Corporate needs to look into her, this is disgusting behavior coming from a GROWN adult. Also, anytime she walked by me it smelled like spoiled onions. Y’all need a new manager with better morals and...
