This is a large public park on Cactus Rd. right off the 51 freeway in North Central Phoenix. It has a pond in which ducks and geese congregate. You are allowed to feed them but they can become aggressive in the pursuit of bread or other food. This can be frightening for young children. There is a fairly large children's play ground with things to climb and slide down. There are also swings in the same area. In the summer months the public pool is open. Basketball and volleyball courts are also provided. Much of the park is taken up with grass and trees so it is great for kids who just want run around. For the "welfare" of all involved.... the cost of a cutie out of the bulk bin shouldn't be more than a dollar. I hope the fruit tree has life insurance. It's a tough world out here.
