Scottsdale 101 — Attraction in Phoenix

This is the first time anyone in our group had done one of these so I wasn't sure what to expect. I'm not sure if our instructions weren't that clear or if it was that I was looking around and not paying good enough attention; anyway, we made it more complicated than it needed to be. I thought it would require strategy and be cumulative, but it doesn't. It is basically solving a series of clues, each one leading to the next puzzle, with not much carrying over between each step. We had a couple of children with us, and they provided very appropriate clues for the age group when we would get stuck. You don't actually have to reason out "who done it", you just complete the tasks until you reveal the murder weapon. Now that I know what to expect, I am looking forward to trying...

As the name implies, the 101 & Scottsdale shopping mall is found at the south west corner of the intersection of the 101 Pima Freeway and the North Scottsdale Road. However, to get into this shopping mall, you turn off North Scottsdale Road onto East Mayo Blvd. This Blvd runs along the south side of this shopping mall providing several entrances.

We live north east of the 101 & Scottsdale mall and would label it as home and leisure centre. Situated along the north side of the mall are various home related stores such as Bath, Bed & Beyond. In the north west corner of the mall is the Harkins theatre complex and throughout the mall are numerous restaurants and cafes. We have several favourites including the Blue Cantina and the...

The Scottsdale 101 faces Mayo Blvd in North Scottsdale with access to the 101 Loop a quarter mile north on Scottsdale Rd. Restaurants located here are "Red Robin", "The White Chocolate Grill", "Chik-fil-A" and "Denny's" just to name a few. Harkin's Theatre is located in the NW backside of the Plaza, there are more eateries there for a "dinner and a movie" lifestyle.

Besides enjoying lunch and dinner, there are your favorite retail shops such as "Bed, Bath, and Beyond", Dick's Sporting Goods, not to mention stores across Mayo Blvd. for your shopping pleasures....
