My husband and I did not have a great experience. We usually go to Fogo de Chao and Serra Gaucha for birthdays and anniversarys. We actually met at Fogo de Chao and we love it there. They always give us a complimentary desert for our Anniversary. This year we decided to try Rodizio and we were let down. First the staff need more training. No one asked us if we were celebrating anything. Even though they knew because I put it in our reservation that we were celebrating our anniversary. They offered desert but not complimentary. Not a problem. The issue was the majority of the meats were very bland and some meats were very greasy. I filled a plate full of meats that were unedible. Server took a long time with our drinks and also took a long time to refill them. We actually started getting meats before our drinks even came out. The restaurant wasn't even busy. The seats were uncomfortable and the tables very small. All tables and seats are too close to each other. Unlike fogo and Serra that are spread out so you can have more privacy. They did allow us to choose our seats so that was nice. But if the restaurant were to be packed with people then we would of probably left. They don't use cards there. Instead they use this wooden piece that you could flip green for more meat or red for the servers to stop. At the end we had it flipped at red and the servers still kept coming over. I felt so bad telling them no. The only thing we did like was the salad bar. They had good food. We did have to serve our own fried bananas and mashed potatoes but not a big deal. Actually liked that better since we didn't have to wait for extras to be served. Unfortunately we won't be returning though. The atmosphere there is kinda boring and no one congratulated us for our anniversary. I feel so bad not going to our usual place but we like to try new things. We have removed this restaurant from our list and will continue going to Fogo de Chao and Serra Gaucha. At least they make our day special and even offer to take pictures for us. And give us complimentary desert with Happy Anniversary written on our plate. They actually make it special. Rodizio didn't make us feel special at all on our big day. Please train your servers better. Work on the meats too. We only liked two meats there and the rest had no flavor. Also they didn't have my husband's favorite parmesan pork. Another thing we asked for the restaurant week deal that said it included the full Rodizio experience. Turns out it's only certain meats. We wanted to try everything so we went with the full price. That's another thing that made us not want to come back. Why promote that, if it's actually not the full experience. But anyways we tried it and didn't enjoy it. So we won't be back. Next week I'm surprising my husband to Fogo de Chao. I'm sure they will make up for what we missed yesterday. Our anniversary is special to us even though Rodizio...

I really wanted to like this place. As a fan of Brazilian steakhouses and someone who lives nearby, I was excited to try Rodizio Grill in North Scottsdale during its first week of opening. Unfortunately, the experience left much to be desired as compared to their mesa location.
While the food itself was literally either burnt or raw and as for the service and overall atmosphere were disappointing enough that I wouldn't recommend a visit. From the moment we were seated, the experience felt disorganized and impersonal. Our server, while doing her best, seemed under-supported so much so she didn't even know where the other location was as we frequent that one.
The biggest letdown, though, was the manager's attitude. When issues with our meal arose, the manager addressed them in the most indifferent way possible. No apology, no warmth, and certainly no sense that customer satisfaction mattered. He seemed more concerned with just getting through the night than with making guests feel welcome , not the kind of first impression you want from a brand-new location. On top of that they canceled my open table reservation and denoted I was a no show. I had to provide my comped receipt to Open Table to show them I was indeed there!
To their credit, they did comp the entire meal, nearly $114 which you can see in the attached receipt. But honestly, that didn't fix the feeling that we were just a number to them. A comped meal doesn't mean much if the overall vibe is cold and disconnected with a night ending at in-n-out.
Hopefully they work out the kinks, because right now, Rodizio Grill - North Scottsdale is not living up to the experience its name promises.

Read moreUpon arriving with my family to try a new restaurant, we were met with disappointment. The food was mediocre, not exceptional but not subpar, and the $53.00 price tag did not justify the experience. While the drinks were reasonably priced, we refrained from trying the desserts due to concerns that they would be similar to the food.
The most significant issue we encountered was the apparent behavior of the serving staff. Our server, whom I will refrain from naming, was generally competent but exhibited signs of unease. When I inquired about her well-being after the group had departed, she directed my attention to another server, Juliana, and assured me that she would be fine. Upon reviewing the other server’s name, I noticed that it was Juliana. Interestingly, the table directly across from ours was acquainted with their server and inquired about the situation as well. Although I am uncertain about the specifics, I could over hear their server inform them that one of the servers that evening was upset because she was expected to supervise but was assigned to serve by a more senior supervisor. She also mentioned that she was seeking a new job as Juliana frequently becomes angry and rude to the waitstaff, resulting in their termination by Juliana’s boyfriend, Lennon. It appears that this situation has occurred frequently. While this restaurant may be suitable for those seeking a combination of dinner and entertainment, it is not recommended for those who value a professional and discreet dining experience.
Two members of our group have prior experience in the hospitality industry and found the restaurant’s public display of personal issues to...
