BEWARE OF INCONSISTENT TREATMENT ADVICE AND VAGUE PROGRESS / DEADLINES

Received electrolysis for 4-5 months on my armpits and eventually started to get hyperpigmentation. I took a break and then began laser hair removal b/c I had success on my bikini area w/ another business a few years ago.

I began laser hair removal on my armpits w/ Maria back in March or April 2022. I continued to go every 6-8 weeks with November 2023 being my last appointment.

Unlike my former laser hair treatment, I never noticed the laser getting hotter/stronger as my appointments progressed. The laser gets stronger b/c your hair gets thinner and therefore has less contrast with your skin. When I finally asked Maria when she believed my last appointment should be, she was vague about a deadline. When I first started the treatments I was told it would take 8-10 treatments which usually equates to 1.5 or 2 years.

In my last few treatments I noticed the laser finally getting hotter. My second to last appointment I asked more questions trying to get definitives and Maria told me vague responses again. When I came for my Nov 2023 appointment Maria sent me to another tech b/c she had an appointment that was running long. This new tech asked me why I was getting laser hair treatments if there was little contrast between my skin and hair (which is not the case) and tried to sell me on electrolysis 😳. I got even more inconsistent information on what my options should be.

I hate to assume that Maria was using low settings on the laser to extend my treatment time and get more money, but she wouldn’t tell me anything about my progress or deadlines until I asked.

Once I stopped going and let my hair grown out, I was incredibly disappointed with the results. I felt terrible b/c I felt like I was swindled...

They also have top-end laser treatments that work not just for white people, but also safe for people of color too!

I like how they also take it upon themselves to document your results after sessions so that anyone treating you can review your fe and better determine the best method to use to get you the skin you want.

I cannot stress enough how unmatched Maria's experience and competency is with giving you the best results. And she has a very well adept staff and licensed estheticians that you can feel confident in booking.

This place is one of the best kept secrets in the game.

Maria really cares about her clients and you can tell that it's not just seeing you as another generic patron...for her, it's more personal. She takes you seriously and makes sure that you are getting the progress you want.
