St Stephen's Byzantine Catholic Cathedral — Attraction in Phoenix

It is a beautiful Byzantine Catholic church (in full communion with Rome). It is a very warm and welcoming community. If you are a Roman Catholic looking for a Sunday service celebrated in the (ancient) Byzantine rite, this is the perfect place. If you are looking for a longer service, attend the Saturday vespers, which is followed by the Divine Liturgy. I haven't been to this Cathedral, (at least not yet) but I had the honor of getting to know Father Michael (who is now the rector here) while he was pastor of St John Chrysostom parish in Seattle's Beacon Hill neighborhood and the Skagit Valley Outreach. He is one of the kindest, most genuine priests I've ever known, and the same can be said for his family. I hope everyone at St Stephen's will benefit from having him as their pastor. Father M. I have been going to this Church for decades and have never been told that I am not wanted until now and have never been so disrespected by any Priest..very disappointing to say the least. Not very Christ-like. I do not feel safe and feel that I can no longer come here to communicate with the Lord and have a peaceful participation in mass and spiritual enlightenment through prayer.
