I've been taking classes here for 2 months now 3-4 days a week. The barre classes are great, Alanna is my favorite! When it comes to spin through, I’ve taken some classes at other shops, The Madison specifically, I've realized the instructors/energy/music/lighting here at the sweatshop aren't quite as great. Spin classes should be fun and loud and the energy should be so high I don't even think about the pain. I find myself going to sign up for classes and then being super disappointed when the only times that work for me are with instructors that aren't doing enough choreography or their music isn't timed out correctly and they don't know how to transition so I end up paying for a class elsewhere to actually enjoy working out. I took Emily's class today who isn't a full time instructor, only a sub but hands down I'd be here everyday if she were. She reminded me a ton of the instructors at The Madison and her music, lighting and encouragement to everyone in the room was undeniably outstanding. There's competition out there and if the current instructors aren't meeting that level, unfortunately I'll be canceling my membership and just dropping into...
Read moreI love coming here! I found this studio through class pass over 2 years ago and it's become one of my favorites! I always enjoy each yoga teacher. This past week, I've had Cortney and she's been great. She has great music (the studio always has great music), great practice with breathing, even helping with alignments and to get deeper into a position. I am not a yoga expert but what's I like about this studio is that although there is a wide variety of expertise of the different members, everyone is welcoming and friendly. I also like that the classes I attend are warm (90 degrees or so) but not HOT/where you pour sweat. The floor is taped off so that they are not people crammed 1 inch away from you and we have proper distancing while having a full class. Sweatshop yoga classes are always...
Read moreI’ve never really been a workout girly and always haaated the gym but forced myself to go anyway. I was having brunch across the street one day and saw a bunch of people walking with yoga mats in this direction and decided to check it out. Signed up for the 2 week intro and now I’m hooked. While it’s a little more pricey than the gym, I think it’s worth every penny. So clean, welcoming and convenient. The classes are all different enough to keep it interesting but consistent enough to keep pushing you. Everyone from the instructors to the patrons are all so nice. I look forward to coming here for barre 3 times a week. It’s nice that they offer spin and yoga into the membership as well so you get more variety for your money. So happy to have stumbled upon sweatshop! Thanks for getting me...
