I am new to hot yoga/Bikram yoga. A friend dragged me there because it was free week and so on. This studio has become my standard as far as hot yoga/ Bikram goes. A few classes and I was hooked. I tried other places closer to my home ( it’s a 30 min drive to the foundry for me ) but none of them come close to the expertise, warmth of the instructors and the overall welcoming community I found there. No loud obnoxious techno music , no instructor barking loud commands preventing any relaxation whatsoever, no constant opening of the doors to let cool air in (it s actually disrupting my process, and shall I say, it s HOT and very HUMID yoga, so just deal with the purifying toxin release ! ). It always amazes me when hot yoga reviewers complain about heat, humidity , and Are worried or repulsed about sweat dripping on carpets and so on. Hot yoga might not be your cup of tea. Pick something else. There are so many trendy variations out there. Yoga with goats or kittens ? In short, The combination of heat and yoga is vital for its full benefit to body and mind. I am not athletic really. I don t like fast paced exercise but I move enough, love to hike, try to stay in shape, eat and live healthy. I found something that works for me. I might not be able to go as often as I want but a few times a week , I will give to my body and my soul the benefit of the Foundry hot yoga classes. If there were more stars, I would...
Read moreI’ve only been coming here for about four months, and I usually go every other Tuesday using ClassPass since that’s what works best for me right now. I like trying out different places, but this place has truly become one of my favorites. The environment is always so peaceful, and everyone from the staff to the instructors is so kind and supportive.
I take Todd’s class every other Tuesday, and today I just felt the need to write this. I hate being late to anything, and I was running behind, I showed up literally two minutes before class started. I was already feeling rushed, anxious, and nervous about not getting a good spot in the room. But as soon as I checked in, both Todd and the front desk staff greeted me with such warmth. Their energy instantly made me feel better. Then I walked into the room… and Todd had saved a spot for me. That small gesture meant so much after a long day. His class, as always, was grounding, thoughtful, and exactly what I needed. It helped me let go of everything I was holding onto. Todd has this way of creating space not just physically but emotionally too-like he sees you, meets you where you're at, and helps you come back to yourself. Little moments of kindness like that stick with you. I left class feeling lighter, grounded, and just genuinely grateful. This place is special, and I’m so...
Read moreI'm so happy I made it to this class. Yes, the studio was smaller than the other Foundry branches and the locker room is small too; with a curtain for the door. They don't have many lockers and only one shower and one toilet. In spite of all that the teacher- a man, forgot his name- made me feel so welcome. He was so friendly and just had a great energy. I loved how he was so down to earth and encouraged everyone in class, calling out everyone by name.
The inside of the studio classroom was not so wide- only 2 rows of mats could fit, but the room was very long. Make sure to bring your own mat and towel, as I don't think they are renting. Anyways I took the hot HIIT class and the teacher played the best music ever. Huge shoutout! He talked us through each of the moves so we had the correct form and was just so encouraging. I left the class feeling so much better. Highly recommend.
(Note: The studio is labeled as Hot Yoga on their sign. You can park by the Fry's and walk there- should take you to their back door; you will then need to walk through the breezeway to the front door. (There is also parking behind as well, but GPS takes you to the back...
