This was my first visit to The Bread and Honey House. The parking is very tight and limited. We went on a Friday morning and I was lucky to find one parking spot open. I could only imagine how it is on the weekend.
When we walked in the door, we immediately hit a line that went from the front door to the counter to order. Always a good sign when a place is busy like that. When we got to the counter we were greeted by a very friendly young lady who was ready to take our order. After we ordered she handled us silverware and gave us a number to put on our table. The food was going to be delivered to our table. Off to the side they had a container of cold water, condiments and take out boxes that you could help yourself to.
The food took about 25 mins, which was understandable since it was so crowded. The presentation of the food was beautiful (as you could see from the pictures). We all agreed that our plates were absolutely delicious! My chilaquiles were fresh and had a nice spicy kick to them. Not too spicy but just enough to need a small cup of water as I continued to eat. I suggest a little more sour cream. The portion was big so I did have leftovers.
Overall the experience was good and I would be back. Most likely during the week cause I think the weekend would be...

Ma and I explored Arcadia this week. The first stop was breakfast. I had heard about the Spot and was thinking about that for lunch or even OHSO right across the street. After reading rave reviews about @thebreadandhoneyhousearcadia we were eager to try it.
To be honest, I was judgmental when I first walked in. I was a bit disappointed to find that it's not very big, doesn't have any outdoor patio, and is quick service. Wow, that's my fault for judging a book by its cover.
My mom loves anything chile relleno, so she ordered the chile relleno breakfast burrito. The sauce was a rich flavor that elevated the already delicious burrito. We were both so happily surprised, but the showstopper was my Cubano Breakfast Sandwich! Oh my goodness. It was to die for. Between sourdough was tender carnitas, ham, Swiss, pickles, and an over hard egg, but what put it over the edge was the honey mustard aioli! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. It was so good. I really wasn't that hungry and didn't even touch the included fries, but I could not stop eating the sandwich. Seriously, it's worth the trip to Arcadia.
I love the surprise of biting into something with a burst of flavor that you...
Read moreCame to Phoenix (Nov. 2023) for a college soccer showcase & wanted something besides a chain restaurant. We definitely got that. The restaurant is small, but the service was good. The food was awesome. I ordered the egg & chorizo omelet. The chefs were accommodating with my request to cook the chorizo longer than usual. My family also ordered the Nutella French Toast & the Chicken Guacamole Club. There were NO complaints. I also got a Mimosa, which was tasty. We plan on coming back to Phoenix in the near future. This restaurant will definitely be on my list to come back to.
UPDATE Came back to AZ for another soccer showcase. Of course we came back here! This time I ordered the crispy chorizo & potato tacos. Great flavor! Wasn't use to the texture though. The chorizo and potatoes were more of a mush combination. Interesting. The inside was not very appealing to look at, but again, it tasted good. The setup looked great. Just don't look inside the taco. My son got the French toast with strawberries on it. He had 0 complaints. My Mom got the "Scott's Chile Relleno Burrito." She too loved it. No complaints. I added pics. of the menu again (the last 2 menu pics. are from Nov. 2024). As last time. I'll be back....
