So where do I begin...... Sushi Brokers Arcadia in Phoenix. My husband and I have lived in the Biltmore area for three years now and have desperately been searching for a great sushi restaurant that’s close to our new home. We kept passing up on this particular restaurant simply because our experience of the other ones both north and south, we’re not so great. This one however… Excellent! From the first time we went, the team there really goes above and beyond to accommodate you. Especially considering our current situation with the pandemic we are in. We only discovered them upon their reopening from the recent shutdown. We are somewhat of sushi connoisseurs, so here goes! Husband(half Japanese) lived in Japan for 4-years, so need I say more! Some basic info:
Great HH daily. See my pics online. A lot of choices 3pm to 6pm everyday. Including GF options! Friday’s tend to be really busy, but they always manage to find seating for the two to four of us easily. Short wait at most. Secondly, nice variety of cold sakes! Our favorite is Kikusui and Wakatake. They also serve Orien beer, which for those of you who don’t know that this is actually a rice beer and is gluten-free! Next, the fish is FRESH! The chefs do an amazing job with presentation too! They always remember our favorites and the fact that I need gluten-free sauce or sauce on side for hubby. Even though we order our usuals, they will always ask if I would like something new and or different! EXCELLENT service! The entire staff is awesome. You can definitely tell that they enjoy what they do! We are greeted by our first name and asked if we want our usual to drink the minute we walk-in the door. We highly recommend checking this place out! Tell them where you saw the recommendation! They’ll probably know who we are since we go least once a week or more! Shout out to Eric, Savanna, Hunter, Michael, and Zander just the names I can remember right now. Unfortunately I don’t know all the chefs by name, but they’re...
Read moreCame in on a friday night. They were pretty busy. The hostess sat my fiance and i at a 2 seater behind a really loud rowdy party. They were being extremely inconsiderate and was using an insane amount of profanity. I consider myself a sailer when it comes to swearing it doesnt bother me but when i look around and see children all around me, they really needed better manners. Anyways while that was going on, we have been sitting between 15 and 20 minutes without even a server to greet us... i had to literally get up to go to the host stand to ask for a server to come over. We ended up getting a trainie girl which wasn't even her section. She was personally great and why i even give this 2 stars. After placing our miso soup order we just couldn't handle the rudeness of the large party and asked to move. Even the customers around us were annoyed by them with one even telling us they were surprised we lasted that long near them. What I am really shocked over was to not see one manager on the floor. Not to talk to the party that was literally heard from the kitchen. Not to apologize for our 20 min wait without even being greeted and me having to go to the host stand. We also had an extremely long wait for our sushi, around 30 mins. Then to get our bill with no comps....im not one to complain, but this location has forever lost...
Read moreI decided to support local businesses by ordering take out. Pre covid I would go to this place 1-2 a month. I tried placing an order online but their website isn’t iPhone friendly and would not show me their entire menu. So I call and place my order and am told it will be ready in 15 minutes. I show up and the guy I speak to says he does not have my order. He says it’s probably at the Scottsdale location. I show him the number I called and he says: yup that’s our number for all locations and you must have selected 1 instead of 2 on the menu. There was no press 1 or 2, it rang straight to them! Now instead of apologizing, he asks me if I would go to the Scottsdale location which is 15-20 miles away from me!! Then he says well we can make it for you in 25-30 minutes! Wow we went from 15 minutes take out to 25-30 when I’m there? Did you forget about customer service? You could have offered me I drink while I waited or you could have placed my order on top or you could have offered to pay for one of my rolls, or even just apologized for the confusion. But no, nothing. I went to to Sushiholic right down the road and waited, as I preferred helping another business then them. You...
