FireChaser Express is a really solid family coaster and a great addition to Dollywood’s lineup. It’s well-themed with a creative tribute to volunteer firefighters, and the queue and ride both do a nice job telling the story without feeling over-the-top.
The ride itself is fun and smooth, with a low height requirement that makes it a good fit for a wide range of ages. The launch at the beginning is light but adds some excitement, and the lift hill gives a great view before the ride picks up speed. The backward section toward the end is a fun surprise without being overwhelming. The theme of the ride is outstanding! The "Show" towards the end of the ride is funny and cute, and it does add a bit of a thrill to the ride, and explains why the ride goes in reverse.
My only real issues with this ride is the wait time. Due to the fact that the ride goes forward and backwards, and begins and ends at the same spot, makes for a very long load an unload time.
If your an adrenaline junkie, and you have to skip ONE ride at Dollywood, this is the one I would skip. If your with your young children, and they are looking for something bigger than the wacky worm coaster, it is well worth the wait...

The wait time was less than 30 minutes when we got in line thanks to their fast pass tickets our wait turned into an hour and 5 minutes, plus people were cutting line jumping over handrails, the Ride was good, wouldn't wait that long again though. I guess I'm done with Dolly Wood, trying to be too much like "Disney World" food lines where the same and the park wasn't that full. Six hours there one ride and some food no one could even answer questions on where to find the food tickets, it has went down hill...
