She carefully tested all of my pieces—earrings, two chains, an anklet, and a ring—and offered me what I believe was a fair price for everything.

While I was there, the owner, Philip, also came in. He is very charismatic, and his energy alone gave me the discernment that this was the right place to do business. What’s even funnier is that I actually found this business through ChatGPT when Google wasn’t showing me the right places—so I truly believe I was guided here.

If you’re in Charlotte and either in a bind or simply looking to sell unwanted jewelry, this is the best place to go. They are far more reasonable than a pawn shop and provide good vibes, fair prices, and honest service. My sister and I were going through old sterling silver and gold jewelry we no longer wanted and decided to find a place to sell it. Sis called and took it to several places for pricing. After talking with Phillip at Piedmont Gold Exchange, sis said we should go by there as he was the friendliest person she had talked with and sincerely acted interested in the little bit we had. We bagged up our items, sis called Phillip and off we went to his shop. Sis and I can tell you that we got the very best customer service, the BEST PRICE for our items and feel like we are now friends with Phillip and Anita (who works in the office/shop with Phillip). I can honestly say I will look for more jewelry, coins, collectibles to take to Phillip. I sold a 1-Baht gold necklace here today. Excellent service by Phillip Duncan. I recommend going here instead of the "uppercrust" jewelers to sell your gold, silver, diamonds, coins, etc. I went to Perry's in Southpark yesterday with the same necklace (actually had the sales lady check two identical chains I have) and she weighed and told me each weighed approximately 7.5 grams when indeed they weigh the 1-Baht weight of 15.16 grams. I had Phillip weigh both today just to confirm. Then Janet at Perry's had the nerve to tell me she wasn't going to argue with me about it when I corrected her and tried to explain the Baht gold weight system to her. Very unclassy. Bad business. Bad service. Bottom line: both chains are indeed 15.16 grams thus of course the price paid at the Piedmont Gold Exchange was correct based on weight and their fine gold content.
