A Fiesta for the Senses at Don Pedro! Wow, what a delightful find in Pineville! From the moment we stepped into Don Pedro, we were enveloped in a vibrant and fun atmosphere. The colorful decor truly set the stage for a fantastic meal. But it wasn't just the ambiance that impressed us – the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. And the food? Absolutely fantastic! We started with the Ceviche Mixto (we ordered the 1/2 order), and we were blown away by the portion size! It was enormous, easily enough for two to share, and bursting with fresh, vibrant flavors. Then came the Steak Quesadillas, and they were simply delicious. You could really taste that wonderful grilled flavor in the steak – a sign of true care in preparation. A special shout-out must go to Ricardo the 1st (as her referenced himself I see why) the bartender as we sat at the bar. He was amazing – so attentive and even asked what kind of music we preferred! That level of care and assertiveness truly enhanced our experience. As out-of-towners, we're a little sad we can't make this our regular spot for authentic Mexican cuisine. If we lived here, it would undoubtedly be our go-to! If you're in the Pineville area and looking for a fun, flavorful, and genuinely welcoming Mexican restaurant, look no further...
Read moreI'm going to fix my review because I do not want to allow one person to change the way I feel about a restaurant that I have come to call home.
I come here every single day and place an order. I placed an order over the phone and was transferred to a manager I had never spoke to, Brian. He was completely rude and disrespectful to me over a discrepancy in $2 onions. He accused me of wanting to get "free onions" with my order and "that's not how they do things." He yelled and screamed, and I almost vowed not to come here again.
I was shocked and edited my review, but I shouldn't have because that is not a reflection on the whole restaurant. I was able to get in contact with a real manager, Gamma, who I've spoken to in the past. Gamma can tell you that my crew (family and friends) spends at least $500-$700 a week and we tip over the 20% when we come here because we love them so much. Richard and the other waitstaff are amazing as well.
I want to say that I had a HORRIBLE experience with Brian and if you had that experience too, please do not let that deter you from coming to Don Pedro. I spoke to Gamma and we have cleared things up and I plan to remain a loyal customer to Don Pedro because outside of this incident, the food and...
Read moreI ordered a chicken soup. The shredded chicken tasted awful, so I had them change it to grilled chicken. When it came time for the bill, they up charged for the grilled chicken. I obviously complained— that’s insane. Had the shredded chicken tasted decent, the grilled chicken would have been unnecessary. It is not the money, but the principle. The manager, Roxanne, said that they had already wasted one plate of soup and that she personally tasted the chicken and it was fine— completely disregarding any sort of customer service. My husband told her that this was terrible management/customer service. After we told her it was terrible management, our waiter, Miguel, jumps in and starts trying to FIGHT my husband for “being disrespectful” to the manager. Keep in mind all of this is occurring in front of other customers and staff. He also told us that we didn’t have money to pay our bill and starts flaunting his tips by throwing them on the table. Needless to say, we were in utter disbelief! This is terrible management and definitely a bad image for the business. Before you all try to respond giving other accounts of the story, all of this is recorded. As we were told when we were walking out,...
