Tony Vanoy and I went to the "Point of View" on Mt Washington in Pittsburgh PA on Sunday June 8th. The park is free to enjoy! There is no parking lot so you need to find some on street parking near by! The views are Amazing! Pittsburgh and all the buildings with the 2 Rivers and bridges plus you can see the Pittsburgh Steeler Stadium ! The statue is of George Washington meeting and talking with the Seneca Indian Chief! I definitely recommend you checking it out!a piece of history with gorgeous views! I definitely would go back again!

I think this is one of the best night views for Pittsburgh. Its food for the eyes with all the nightlights and hovering cars across the bridges seen from this view point. You could use the binoculars, take a snap around the statue of George Washington, visit the Duquesne Incline view point and take a night ride on the incline, walk around the edge of the river and enjoy the breeze ... It's chilly in the middle of the summer (of course for me who is familiar with the scorching sun of Arizona :D)

This place offers sweeping views of downtown Pittsburgh and its modest skyline, plus the surrounding suburbs. It's farther from downtown than some of the other viewpoints in the area. Bring a camera with decent zoom capabilities and come in the afternoon for the best photos. There is no public parking along the main road. You have to check the side streets to find a close-enough spot. We found one (free of charge) after about ten minutes of driving around.

It's a great view of the city of Pittsburgh. There isn't a lot of street parking, most of it is parallel street parking; pay at meter stations. I suggest parking at Station Square and riding one of the two inclines to the top for another experience.

There is a selection of restaurants and bars on Mount Washington to choose from. A couple formal restaurants and a few informal restaurants as well.

Living here for decades doesn't mean you can't appreciate the views.

If you have time while here, or if you're a resident, it is a...

A few minutes of walking west of the you'll see a nice overlook of the Pittsburgh city and 3 rivers, an info board as well as statues of George Washington meeting and talking with the Seneca Indian Chief. I highly recommend visiting in the later evening, so you can see all the city lights and the fountain light across the river. There are breathtaking views from here, whether daytime or evening, plus it's all free and accessible to the public 24/7. It's a must-see when you're...
