Miracle on Setts To avoid a collision after one of the bikers in front of me had unexpectedly swerved, I turned my handlebar to the left and braked heavily. Next thing I remember I was lying down on setts, yet quite miraculously with no major injuries. It happened the day after Andy's 98th birthday; my bikes and I pass by the Andy's church in Ruska Dolina regularly; this could be an explanation for me walking out of that rather hard fall mostly unharmed. (Well, my helmet and coordination might have helped a bit too.) In partial fulfillment of the Sotheby's submission U9DYOPK4 "Intricately Shaped Bike Wheel of Miracle (very Modern Art, neither machine- or hand- made)"

Lovely spot within Fort Pitt. Visitors are allowed to wade in the water, although I'm unsure if bathing in it is allowed. Amazing views of downtown from here, as well as the confluence of the Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, marking the beginning of the Ohio River. It's fascinating to know that water will end up in the Gulf of Mexico at some point. It's about a 15-minute walk from the nearest parking lot. Check weather conditions before arriving, especially since there's no covered space within the immediate vicinity to retreat to if it rains all of a sudden.

Point State Park Fountain was the most beautiful spot in Pittsburgh that I found. The fountain that shoots 150 foot into the air marks the point of the beginning of the mighty Ohio River, offers an incredible view of the surrounding areas, including probably one of the best sky line views you'll see. Lots of social gathering, boats, and family fun around the fountain and nearby areas. A nice place to relax and reflect in an area that once was the base of operations, and the roots of what would eventually become the city of Pittsburgh.

One of the highlights of our visit to downtown Pittsburgh was Point State Park Fountain. We walked all over the city that day and reached the fountain about am your before sunset. After walking around in the grass and enjoying the park for a while we all gathered around the fountain. Now when I say gathered I am not just referring to the 11 family members I was with I mean a couple hundred people began to gather at the fountain. It was really kind of cool all of a sudden people we're coming from every direction to the end if the peninsula where the fontain is located. (of course my freaking battery died) haha as soon as if finished writing that last sentence I realized my phone was at 1% so I just scrambled to plug it in before it died mid review. Anyway on that day I had no place to plug my phone in so it died and I got zero pictures. But that’s ok because I was in the moment and the moment was magnificent. The day had been beautiful and clear sky’s but not too hot. So as we sat there on the edge of that huge fountain looking out over the water with a few boats in the distance and the ball parks to our right the sunset was spectacular. I’m saying definitely in my top five sunsets of all time(and I have watched the sunset from some world class places. (Maui; Steamboat Springs CO. from the top of the mountain; Key West FL.; Fiji; The Dominican Republic, Peru; Park City Utah; The Fort at Mackinaw Island MI; The Space Needle in Seattle; The Space Needle in Las Vegas; The Plaza KCMO; The Bridge at Sacramento River; Pismo Beach CA; Santa Barbara CA; The 48th floor from a Hotel in San Francisco; Peju Private Reserve Vineyard in the Napa Valley; The Lincoln Memorial DC; Jack London Square Oak. CA; Lake Tahoe Heavenly Resort CA/NV; I could literally list at least 15 more places (wow I’ve actually experienced some great sunsets I am humbled and extremely grateful) but I digress on that day in July at Point State Park Fountain, I was blessed to enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets of my entire life. The people were all friendly may wife’s family were all there it was awesome and I will never forget it. If you are visiting or have never taken the time to see it for yourself then go. “Treat-Yourself” it’s freaking huge and definitely a must see when you are in Pittsburg PA. Bravo if you actually read that entire review...haha...

The Point State Park Fountain is huge, sitting at the center-most point of the 3 rivers connected. The weather was warm, but fairly humid due to being near the water, and I had fun feeling the bits and drizzles that came our way from the spraying waters of the fountain. It was somewhat busy when we had visited in early September, but not too much to stop us from taking photos of the spectacular landmark. There were pedestrians, law enforcement in cars, small boats around. I was surprised to see that you could ride bikes in this public area too, considering there was a very weak railing that separates the walkway from the lake. Before reaching this park, you also get a wonderful very of the greenery, the landmarks and other historical architecture that lines the pedestrian walks up until reaching the fountain. There’s also a museum and food/drink booth too, and plenty of resting areas with benches. The Point State Park Fountain is a must-visit, for everyone of all ages, when/if you are visiting Pittsburgh. It is free entry, all outdoors, and has events and shows in certain periods of the year. What a lovely place to walk and/or...
