Steelers Stadium — Local services in Pittsburgh

Great environment. I have season tix for Steelers, so I go to every home game. There are alot of plusses and minuses to Accrisure. We park in the Gold Garage, right next to the stadium. That is a whole other topic! That garage needs to get its act in order. The stadium itself is pleasant. Not easy to navigate as different areas are not connected. It takes about 20 minutes to walk at a decent pace from our seats in the first few rows of Sec 527 to the Great Hall. So we don't bother to go there except to walk through to get to our seats. That is where the best food choices are. Food is very expensive. For instance, soda $8.99 for regular sized/ no refills. Water bottle $6.99. I know this is regular stadium pricing, but my goodness!

Back to the stadium. Something new this year is that the main gate at the Great Hall is randomly closed as fans are entering before the game. It makes no sense. Then we are routed to Gate B, which adds another trek to get across stadium to our seats. Whenever someone deems it too crowded, gates close and workers stand there and fans are turned away. It is crazy.

Escalators have been working well this season, but randomly get turned off. Very crowded. There are workers at the base monitoring people getting on escalators, but it is still an ordeal. Alot of pushing and jockeying for position.

Bathrooms are fine, but I've given stadium idea to put flags on the stalls when they are Vacant or Occupied so the lines do not extend out the door and across the concourse. Womens room constantly has lines because people cannot tell which stalls are occupied or not. Water in sink is too hot. Feels good for a second on cold games, but otherwise painful. Usually decently clean for the crowds who use them, but towels run out and refills are spotty.

No good food on 500 level. Regular Aramark hotdogs, pizza, popcorn, pretzels, nachos. Yuck. But there are tons of places to buy beer - - any way you want. Self serve. cans, drafts, specialty brands. Beer, beer, beer. Bonus that mixed drinks are available now too, which I observe many fans enjoying.

Seats on 500 levels are narrow and the stairs to seats are jacked up. Different heights and depths make them dangerous. I am scared every time I walk down the first 5 steps to get out of the section and back to the concourse. Very steep seating plan, so be aware.

Stadium has done a good job in addressing concerns and actively making improvements. But just a couple things are so annoying (access inside, escalators, steps) that I cannot give a 5 rating. Best place in USA to watch football, but needs a...

I came to Acrisure Stadium a casual football fan… I left a screaming, terrible towel-waving, slightly hoarse disciple of Steeler Nation. This place is electric. I’m pretty sure the sound of the crowd could power Pittsburgh for a week.

The view of the river? Gorgeous. The fans? Passionate. The beer? Cold enough to make you question your life choices. I got emotional during “Renegade.” I hugged a stranger in a Polamalu jersey. I saw a grown man cry when we scored, and honestly, same.

The food? It’s stadium food—don’t expect gourmet, but do expect to eat something with cheese and regret nothing.

Whether you’re a Steelers fan or just enjoy being part of an adrenaline-fueled cult in face paint, this is the place to be. 10/10 would get yelled at by a grandma in a Watt...
