The Preservation of Fort Duquesne as a physical structure has been long since past, rather, you're left with a plaque in the center of a concrete outline that marks the area in which the walls once stood. There's little information, to even note what you're looking at, to me, it looked like there might be lights or reflectors to lighten it at night time. Itll take some reading, and imagination, to truly grasp the idea of this French Fort once sitting in the center of this grassy point, but, it's neat that they've kept the area cleansed for memory purposes and it's in what I would consider the nicest area in Pittsburgh, close enough to the historical walls of Fort Pitt, the block house, and an incredible fountain and river front. Come for the rest of what I mentioned, but, enjoy and don't forget to recollect and pay respects when you walk the outline.

One of the olden landmark as said in the description right around the peninsula facing the Pittsburgh football stadium. The city has kept one of the old structure alive to showcase the history. I had good time with people showing how the cooking was done in olden time, the rifleman, and the hunting culture for survival. The giant water fountain at the peninsula was majestic. I would definitely recommend anyone to spending time at this park for weekend or weekdays whatever permits your schedule. The only complaint I have is parking space. Not enough parking spot for peak period. You will need to hunt for one if the weather is good 😊.

Bear in mind there is absolutely no physical structure here, just a very large, empty, grassy field with trees on either side. There is absolutely no museum here either at the site of where Fort Duquesne once stood. There is only a large marker in the ground (see my picture) and the outline of the fort laid out in the middle of the field. The fort itself was destroyed by the French in 1758 before the advancing British General Forbes arrived. The closest museum is the Fort Pitt Museum, detailing the fort that was built just to the east after Fort Duquesne was razed, the founding of Pittsburgh, and the wars that enveloped the...
