The Revel & Roost joint website is odd. It seemed like Revel is ONLY open for breakfast and brunch, but when we got to the restaurant, both parts were open. (Looking at their website more closely, I found their dinner, but the way they advertise it on the main page is odd.) We hope to try Revel at some point. Roost had very good food and a bunch of things I wanted to try, though their menu was pretty limited. Roost has no happy hour drink specials, so if you want one of those, stop in Revel downstairs first. Roost was also fairly empty, so we didn't really need a reservation, but I like to make them to be safe if they take reservations. The dish I was most interested in (scallops) had a lot I didn't like (I tried it, since my friend got it and I'm glad I skipped it, since I'm not a fan of peppers), but they have a scallop appetizer I'd like to get next time. The dinner also came with some delicious bread and dipping sauces/spreads. There was a LOT of food, so an appetizer wasn't necessary. I ate all the best stuff from my meal, but couldn't have possibly finished my meal after sharing the appetizer. Very good service and food. I'd definitely recommend it & look forward to trying Revel. We liked Revel better. Both have great food, but Revel has better happy hour specials and a vibe that fits us a bit more. We'll definitely go back to Revel more than Roost - great service and food with really good happy hour specials. I give Revel 5 stars and Roost 4, so I edited my rating...

I had the pleasure of photographing a wedding at The Roost in November 2024, and it was an absolute dream venue! The space is beautifully designed, offering a perfect blend of modern elegance and warmth. The natural light and unique architectural details made for stunning wedding portraits. The staff was incredibly accommodating and attentive, ensuring that the day ran smoothly for both the couple and their vendors. From the seamless timeline coordination to their willingness to help with anything needed, they truly went above and beyond. If you're looking for a gorgeous, stress-free venue in Pittsburgh, The Roost is a fantastic choice. As a photographer, I can confidently say it’s a venue that makes for breathtaking photos and an unforgettable wedding day! -Corianne C Photography, LLC

Blown away! Product, value, environment, and staff were all fantastic. Went into Roost expecting to spend a ridiculous amount of money and was thoroughly surprised by the price of the menu items. Honestly I think you are getting much more value than you pay for! Every meal was SPECTACULAR! And i would highly recommend them all (apologies for not sending the exact name of each meal): Pork Chop Lamb Chop Bronzini Fish Cheese plate And 1 of each dessert: Baked Ricotta Coffee & Cream Cheesecake Chocolate Cake *Side note: I wasn't even through my meal and I was texting friends to set up a date to return for a date night with my girls!

My wife and I had our small (14 people) wedding reception at Roost. We were blown away at how perfect the night went. It all starts with Joanna. She helped us plan everything, dealt with our specific wants, and was so unbelievably pleasant 1000% of the time. She helped bring my wife's dream reception to fruition and exceeded our expectations on top of that. She made everything so easy. The staff at Roost took all the stress out of planning, setting up, and tearing down an event out of our big day.

Not only was the staff amazing, the venue is beautiful. Can be a small intimate gathering or open up for larger events.

We cannot stress enough how much we loved having our reception at Roost. We recommend it to anyone and everyone. On top of booking it just to have a beautiful venue, you should book it just to get to hang out with Joanna. She's the best and we are so happy she helped us create our perfect wedding reception! She deserves...

HIGHLY RECOMMEND Roost venue at Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Pittsburgh for any type of special event. It is an AWESOME location! We recently had our wedding at Roost and we couldn’t be happier with our decision to celebrate our special day at this place. A BIG THANK YOU to Joanna, Allison and the ENTIRE staff for executing our wedding to perfection!!! Everyone at Roost & Hilton Garden-Inn EXCEEDED our expectations and we couldn’t be happier with the way things turned out. We are beyond grateful for all their hard work, attention to detail, and professionalism.

A BIG SHOUT OUT to the chef - the food was absolutely DELICIOUS and the bar service was TOP NOTCH. All of our guests raved about the food, drinks & service the next day.

If you are looking for a place to host your wedding or other special event, look no further - The Roost at the Hilton Garden Inn in Downtown Pittsburgh is the...
